Yesterday's post

Ivana is acting like a hobbit this morning, wanting more breakfast. She got her regular serving (slightly smaller these days as she eats less when in normal numbers) at AMPS, then when we got up at +0.5 she wanted more so I gave her a bit more, and I just got home at +3 and she wants yet another serving. I'm going to wait for lunch at +5, otherwise she will be too full to eat that. I'm wondering if it might be because of the weather - it's been really hot here the last week or so, and today is the first cool day - weather affects my appetite so I guess it's the same for cats.

In other news, Ivana again spent the night sleeping next to Chardonnay the chicken, who is showing more signs of going downhill as of this morning with a darkened and floppy comb She is still eating though, yesterday she even managed to steal part of an eggshell from Shiraz (the Head Honcho Hen and part-time bully), so Chardy still has some life in her yet.

I assume weather can affect our cat's appetites just like it does ours. I hope Ivana keeps sliding down today. Sending prayers for Chardy.

Apparently yellow is the colour of the day... doesn't suit you as well Ivana, blue and green is much better.

Chardy has just come inside and had some corn on the cob for dinner, and is currently falling asleep in her bowl. It would be cute if it wasn't sad.

So very sad about Chardy and such a sweet story of love with Ivana's affection. Love the wine theme names for your birds.

We didn't name them, the rescue shelter we adopted them from did, but we loved the names so kept them Apart from Chardonnay and Shiraz we also have Chablis... and Jane (no not an alcohol girl, she was saved and named separately from the others). And our GA girls are Frangelico, Merlot and Midori.
