Doodles 3/9 My boy is still the same. He did swat a mousie around for a few minutes yesterday afternoon but then it was btb for him.

We're seeing a cardiologist on April 6th (first available appointment). Very happy to hear that it's the same Dr. that Marje uses for Toby! Looks like I also need to schedule on with the IM vet. Acro & IAA testing info has been sent to my current Vet so I'll see if she cooperates or not. We have the follow up visit on Monday from his covenia shot.

OT: Have a surprise visitor coming tomorrow. It's my cousin who I haven't seen in 20 years and luckily he's just staying 1 night. Kind of crazy but should be interesting.

So glad that you will see the cardiologist on the 6th and so hoping that you get a good report. :bighug: Have fun with your cousin. It's nice to have company but if Doodles is like Bubba, he'll be hiding for that time.

Oh, Doodles...let's work that juice!! It's great you're able to use the same vetty as Marje - there is nothing that can boost your confidence like a glowing recommendation from someone you know and trust!

Poor Doodles with the visitor. All of my guys love company except Trix - she's like Doodles and hides when a stranger comes in the house. It'll be interesting reconnecting with a cousin you haven't seen in so long!

Have a great day, Karen!

Prayers and vines that this dose works and his heart is healthy. All my cats hid from visitors. My neighbor has one that is all over us if we have a meeting at her house. He actually gets annoying but I sure wish Max would be less skittish.

I hope Doodles slides down today. I'm glad you're going to see the same cardiologist Marje uses. Have a good visit with your cousin. It's good it's a short visit since Doodles hides.

Hope all goes well with the Cardio Vet, vines for Doodles:bighug::bighug::bighug:

BFG doesn't like visitors either, he used to run and hide under the bed, since we moved to Spain he's got more Mediterranean and just hangs out being aloof, it's the really young visitors he doesn't tolerate so well. Hope you have fun catching up with your cousin.:)

Mandarin is totally invisible to visitors either - I think most of my friends have only ever seen him on pictures. Walter and Capone, on the other hand, are obnoxiously friendly and have to be in the middle of everything.

...and sending good vetty vines for Doodles. :bighug:

You know, I wonder if that shyness or nervousness is a common diabetic cat trait? Was thinking about that while vacuuming HA!

Vines and light sent your way for a good appt with the cardiologist, and for a fun visit with your cousin:) Come on Doodles- show us what you can do!

Cancelled his follow-up vet appointment for Monday (2 week follow up on the covenia shot). Instead we're seeing a new Internal Medicine vet next Wednesday. He's very sleepy and not sure if it's his numbers or something else. At this point my regular vet can't tell or do anything so why torture him with an unnecessary visit.

Good call ;)

Is he just this tired today Karen?? I know it is awful seeing them sad... sending tons of healing to you both:bighug::bighug:
I am glad he liked the food:)
For whatever it's worth, that's all Bubba does anymore is sleeps and I was starting to think he was depressed since I won't let him outside anymore. He walks around about 5 minutes a day and most of the time he is down in the basement sleeping. Bubba is 9 1/2 year old.

did that start with the dx of fd?? 9 1/2 is so young....maybe he needs a kitten:cat:

I know you aren't seeing your regular vet now, but I had o ask my local vet to humour me to get the tests done. She had consulted the local IM vet "expert" who told her testing wasn't necessary until 10 units, which Neko never got to.

All paws crossed your local experts can crack the Doodles mystery. :bighug::bighug:

I just have a bad feeling, can't explain it. Hope I'm wrong. @Wendy&Neko , I'll make sure he gets the acro/IAA tests so no worries there. I'm pretty persistent.

BTW - he did wake me up at 3:00am with a small white foam vomit :(

I did talk to our anesthesiologist and she said, "I do like Dr. Bailey She is thorough and seems to have a broader range of quality options compared to many others."

I really value Dr. L's opinion so I hope you like Dr. Bailey.

Sending hugs and vines.
