Great day at the Lagoon yesterday for BFG, he was Mr Flat most of the day, interesting that his lowest number was amps, dawn phenomewhat?

Today we have an 80 amps and a +1 of 86 so all is good, we are heading to the vets @ +2.5ish for a routine BW, and Health Check, I am nervous, not about the BW but about the effect of the stress on his BG, I am praying it doesn't throw a spanner in the works, he hates the car and being in his carrier, with it being a round trip of an hour, plus however long we have to wait for his BW, he is not going to be a happy kitty.
I have given him his manicure this morning, so Vet should be safe from any swiping action, should he decide that is the way he wants to go, though to be absolutely fair to BFG he is usually an angel for his vet visits, he just stays very still and really doesn't put up any sort of fight.
I am taking my meter with and will get a BG reading there at the vet's.

Paws crossed the visit is uneventful

It's always interesting to see how much (or not) they spike but don't worry about it throwing any spanner in the works stress spikes are just temporary and won't mess anything up. Even non diabetic cats can have diabetic type readings at the vet. If he stress spikes he'll come down again just fine.

Thanks guys, that makes me feel better.
+2 69 :D well looks like he might want to show of for Vet Victoria.

Time for a quick cup of coffee and then we are off.:coffee::coffee::coffee:

Back from the vets, trip there went smoothly no 'accidents' on the way.

BFG had a bit of a grumble and hiss at the blood draw, and tested 86 at the vets @+3.5ish, when we got the blood draw last time on diagnosis he was as quiet as a mouse, his fiestiness may be a result of him not feeling so crappy. Anyways glad that is over with.

He also weighed in at 7.5kg which is 300g(just about 10 ounces) down from diagnosis, this is good as we have been trying to get him to loose an extra bit of fluff.

Now we wait for a few days to see what the BW says, paws crossed those liver values are looking better.

Nice numbers this AM BFG ( or can we call him that anymore with the 10 ounces lost?) ;) Also, glad the vet visit went without a hitch. And he didn't spike up at the vets! :) Good luck vines for the BW results.
He still has some fluff he should probably weigh about 7kg so another i/2kg about one pound to loose, so a way to go yet, but considering his all you can eat buffets and midnight feasts I am pleased with the reduction, and that he hasn't gained weight, more of a result than we ever had with Hills Metabolic !

When he gets down to his target he could be Big Friendly George:cat: or I think another could be Big Flat George if his numbers continue to be good.

Just got a +6 120:(
Guess it's delayed stress spike. Hope he comes down by PMPS
I am going to give him a break for the rest of the morning, maybe get a test in at +10 in

Not bad for a stress spike! My boys usually manage to make it all the way into the reds.

Sending lots of BW vines for Big Flat George (love it!).

Those delayed bounces/spikes are common. Rusty is prone to them, too. Have a nice, restful day.

Yo Deputy George, Take some time off and relax on the beach for a while. You're doing great!

I love Big Flat George! 120 isn't too bad. You get a pokie break for a few hours and BFG gets a nice restorative nap after the vetty visit. :) paws crossed for good BW results.

I didn't check him as soon as I got home(+4), so goodness knows how high he went:eek: he was a bit p****ed off he was running away from me and hid under the bed not for long though he wanted his elevenses, and wasn't impressed at me doing the Litter Box Lurk( LBL ) not one of his favorite sugardance steps, so I gave him some alone time, mind you he still ate his lunch, he let me know he wanted it:rolleyes:.

He's snoring now, back in his usual spot, he thankfully doesn't hold a grudge for long.:)

LOL--we do the LBL too--so funny all the sudden I think I have to pee?

@+1 we are back in green after the Vetty bounce, Georges Urine sample is also going of for analysis should have the results in a couple of days.

He is back to his cuddly self and is snuggled up beside me purring away, so seems I am forgiven.:)
