Thanks for the vines and prayers and please keep them coming. Nothing much has changed here. I'm not confident we will get fixable answers from the radiologist but hoping to be wrong. I'm thinking of getting another urinalysis and asking for an antibiotic in case nothing comes from this but hate to mess with his GI track or appetite. Hoping for a miracle.

My cold is better but the stress and lack of sleep is messing with me big time. It's Max and my mom and condo problems and I'm not coping well I guess. Sorry I'm not posting much. Vines and prayers for all in need.

We are thinking of you and sending tons of vines and prayers for Max and mom. Lot of hugs for you. It seems that when things go bad and we are losing hope and worry suddenly things improve. I can tell how many times I feld that Gus is so sick that he will not survive and he did and got better. In three months he will be 17 years old.

Don't worry about not posting much!! You have your hands full and we all understand that you only have so many hours in a day and you have important things to do!

Hope you get some kind of answers from the ultrasound today. I know that the "not knowing" is hardest on us beans :bighug::bighug:

I had to wait for 2 1/2 hours. I was last which surprised me as I thought I was first. I could have stayed home for another 1 1/2 hours. The radiologist said he looked good so it's all still a mystery. His in house kidney tests were creatinine 4.2, down from 5.3 last and BUN still a very high 82, down a tad from 92. I asked about another urinalysis and he agreed. He is also sending it to IDEXX this time although he hasn't had issues with Antech. He's running another culture just to be sure as well. I won't be able to compare the two results but at least another chance to see if there is an infection. My vet doesn't think so and neither do I quite frankly. At least his numbers didn't rise again!

For anyone buying fluids, I just ordered a case of Braun DEHP-FREE for $38.20 and they will likely be in on Monday. That is when I will likely get the results as well. I used the discount card available at www.DiscountDrugNetwork.com. You just print it from your computer. The NDC is 0264-7750-00. I think it really helps to give it to them. I'll post this on the health forum as well.

Thanks as always for your support.

I'm sorry it's still a mystery, but it is good that his numbers went down, even if it was just a little. Down is better than up!

Wow on those fluids....I'm going to look into them! Since the shortage started right before Trix began fluids, the cheapest I've found is $6.99 per bag, and that was quite a while ago.

when it rains it pours! some flowers to brighten your day, Elise. It's hard taking care of everyone around you. I think that's all pretty good news on Max, although perhaps it doesn't answer all the questions. Sending healing vines to him and your mom, and big hugs to you.

I got them at Walgreens.

I got them at Walgreens.
Ahhh...yeah, we don't have a Walgreens TOO close by, but I do remember the last time I tried from the one that is about 20 miles away. What a fiasco...finally got everything going between the vet and the pharmacy only to find out the pharmacy couldn't get them because of the shortage. I guess maybe I'll try again when we need them.....

Well, I'm glad the u/s results were good, but how frustrating to still not have answers. Should I hope for good results from the remaining tests, or an easily treatable problem? Because good results would leave the mystery! I know how you feel - :banghead::banghead::banghead:.

Sorry it's all ganging up on you at once - I've felt that way a lot recently. You, Max and your mom remain in my thoughts and prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Sending you so many vines- and light and love- It has been such an intense time, and so many core things up for you... I will hold you in my thoughts and prayers:) I am so glad that the U/S was good... and hoping you get some clarity soon!
