Good luck at the vetty, Elise.

If it helps, Pimp gets renal K+, his levels were low-normal last BW and the vet said to continue supplementation.

Thanks. That is why I added the potassium. Max has been 3.8-41 for a long time but it was from diabetes. Now I feel it's due to the excessive urination. I feel bad practicing vet med without a license. I was hoping it would give him more energy but he seems the same. I guess I will hold off on telling my vet and see what the results say.

Big food spike. I know the first test was right because I double checked with the backup.

The cold is being held at bay with Zicam. Unfortunately I texted my facialist and she cancelled me because she is recording this week and didn't want to take a chance. It would have been a good diversion. I'm trying to decide whether to cancel my spin bike. I know Max will be fine but I'm feeling lazy. I maybe I'll just do my own workout after the vet appointment.

I won't get any answers from my vet until results tomorrow or if he's real busy then Thursday. I suspect the labs will be the same with all the drinking and urinating. I think he's drinking enough to keep well hydrated but don't know for how long he can continue to do so. I put lots of water on his food and he's drinking a lot. I've read there is no reason for fluids unless they get dehydrated. I know I'm driving myself crazy.

Darn cat. I didn't want to have to feed him again before vet visit. He didn't eat much at @+3. I tested just because. He just ate. I just gave lc and gerbers since it's late enough it should bring him up.

Back up but his labs will be high from food.:banghead:

My vet did another ultrasound and thought he might have seen a stone so he did a follow up X-ray that didn't show anything. He ran blood. Another $625 and still no answers. Depending on the results he might want the radiologist to look. Max was a good boy as he told the techs that to think of Mad Max and not put him in a cage.

glad no stones ...

When Dre was only about 2 or s he had 3 stones on exray--we did the surgery and there was 1--I watch him very close and he never cried when he peed or anything so it could pass :)
Max blocked when he was 5. Best case scenario is he had a stone and passes it and his numbers come back down. I don't see that happening yet as he is still drinking and urinating boatloads. He felt one kidney looked really good and he thought tge ultrasound showed a stone but the X-ray didn't.

Thanks everyone for stopping by.

Sorry to hear things are so stressful right now Elise!! It's always hard when there are more questions than answers!!

Hope they're able to figure it out soon so you'll at least know what you're up against!!

Feel better soon Max!!

My vet always has a radiologist look at the u/s and xrays, just to be sure. I think it's a good idea.

Sorry you don't have any answers, but hoping no news is good news. Sending vines for good b/w results.

Vines and prayers for your DM and :bighug:s for you.
