Oh I'm so sorry to hear he has to go back. He is so lucky to have you.

You are doing great with deciding on dosing, etc. I'm so proud of you!!!!! Her SS is looking so good!

Surf safely, Shaak.

Both Shaak and your room mate - plus all that you hold dear - are blessed to have you in their lives, Cathie.

PMPS. 270. RATHER HIGH. DISAPPOINTING.

Our Cox network is down. No cable or internet. Using data right now. So won't be online except for briefest of moments.

Room mate back home. Hospital said he must quit overdoing, walking too much and smoking. He won't get well and will be readmitted if he doesn't stop. I told him smoking is vile. Sorry if that offends anyone here. I just can't stand smoking.

Gotta get offline. Ck back in later.

internet back up!

Hope Shaak gives you a nice comfy blue surf tonight so you can get some sleep.

I agree. Even worse as an ex-smoker. Has roomie tried the electronic cigarettes? I quit smoking 5 years ago with them. (Now I'm addicted to the e-cig:rolleyes: but it's cheap and I don't stink:))
yeah, he didn't like it. I so think it is great that it worked for you. Kudos and awesome!:woot:

Hi Cathie,
Just took a peek at Shaak's ss, nice to see all those blues.
How you doing? other than having a hard time keeping awake?

We are doing great, thanks.
DH is home this week, fell ill with the flu, it's doing the rounds here, and will be expecting some disruption from the carpenters anytime now:rolleyes: I'll better get myself my second cup of coffee before they arrive, as usually they have lot's of questions and I don' get a chance once they are here.
Shaaks numbers are looking beautiful:cool::cool::cool:
She seems to be surfing nicely, how far are you of her next test?
How is she in herself?

her next test is in 40 minutes

she is lying between my legs taking a nap, purring gently. she played with a string hanging off the bed today, just kept batting at it! I was so happy to see her do that

Having the flu in the house sucks, we do too. My room mate spent two days in the hospital, with that and pneumonia and dehydration. My son has a cold and I am trying to get over a cold, still stuffy and coughing. My daughter Kirby is unscathed for the present.

Still awake Cathie? See, this is the downfall of the internet...you can't YELL at someone....

they should give us an "alarm" button on the console LOL.

@Gill & George I had 8 cups this morning  Wait I mean yesterday morning.

Not half as pleased as I was. She was so much better for their having given it to her. She was wiped out with the high blood sugar yesterday. :( I just wish they would have also given her a microdose last night. I do not want DKA in this picture.

Sending scritches for Shaak. I'm so glad that you're now seeing the outward evidence that she's doing better thanks to your dedication and wonderful care, Cathie. :)

She has now decided she would rather be awake and bathing, I guess because I kept waking her up to poke her, I tried to keep from disturbing her, gently reaching for meter and not hitting her with my legs, of course she stirs anyway. Now I think I should be okay to get some sleep, what do you guys think, since she is still in the low 100's should I wait another hour?

I don't want you to have DKA in this picture. Hope you have been getting some rest?
I have, Cathie. Because of the PTSD I get a regular prescription for Ambien (zolpidem). I've been taking it to shut my brain off so that I could get as much sleep as possible while Saoirse's staying at the vets. I'm hoping to sleep most of today so that I can stay up with Saoirse to give her her insulin tonight. If I can get tests over a few nights and get the depot stable it should in theory be easier for us to cope. Prior to Saoirse's readmission I wasn't able to give her insulin at night because she tends to run lower and therefore needed to be tested to determine a safe dose. I kept passing out so would not have been able to steer the curve to keep her safe if she were to run low unexpectedly.
