Max was begging for food about 1/2 hour early and proceeded to drink a lot. No surprise he was low but did he go lower than the 58 I got at +6? I don't think so but he might be looking for me to remove the extra drops. He was nauseous but didn't throw up. Refused Beechnut but ate the Gerbers I put on top. I waited a little and then gave him his bp med.

My friends on the CRF list think I should ask for x-rays to check for stones and an ultrasound as it seems up for his numbers to go up so much in 3 months. Another idea is to treat with an antibiotic even if nothing shows up as in the culture. The though is it might use a kidney infection that wouldn't culture. I'll run it all by my vet tomorrow as I didn't cancel the appointment I made for Tuesday.

Vines for all in need and we could use some as well.

Sending vines to Max for whatever ails him.

J.D. used to drink water to fill up his belly when he was low and felt he needed food.

I would have tested again at +5 last night. He could have gone below 50 for the third time and earned a dose reduction if that's what you were waiting for. I always tested every half hour when in the 50s, unless J.D. had been surfing them for hours already. I know you've been doing this a long time. Just my thoughts.
Can you change the color to green on your spreadsheet for your AMPS this morning?
Sending safe surf vines for Max today, too

Thanks. The 58 was at +6 so he was surfing an hour without food. Max tends to drop by tgen if he's going below 50.

Well that is some green to wake up to!

Gus had a kidney infection twice in four years of CKD and his creatinine popped up a bit. Cultures were negative but we did an ultrasound both times and it was evident. Both times, six weeks on baytril cleared it up and he never had another.

Healthy hugs….. hoping for no stones!!
Im actually hoping but something easily fixed other than CRF advancing quickly so even a small stone would be appreciated I think. Thanks. A little infection would be better I guess. Strange to be wishing for something such as either one I know b

I'm going to ask about an ultrasound as it hopefully will give us the info needed to bring those numbers down. Tiffanyk rose drastically when on chemo and it was due to a missed infection which caused the oncologist to refuse to administer more chemo so I have seen it as well. Thanks Marje.

I can only offer more "easy solution answers" too. It's so weighing on us when we have a cat dealing with issues and we can't even be sure what those issues are. Never thought I'd be praying for infection, but I am, Elise. I sure am. Love your Max.

Marilyn and Polly

Sure hope there's an easier answer to the higher kidney values on the last bloodwork, Elise!

You know we're sending lots of L&LL vines!!

Beautiful surfing there Max!!

(((Elise)))I can't find a more recent Max condo, so I;m posting here. I was hoping Max's c&S might show the infection, hope it isn't a kidney infection, but I know that would be better than the other possibility. Sending tons and tons and tons of love and vines for you both, and your Mom as well. Max's SS sure looks good, I hope he's eating and feeling better...and extra vines if he needs an US. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
