Sending good vetty vines and especially good b/w vines. :bighug:
Thanks. I'm pretty sure his kidney values are up with all the drinking and urinating. I might need to add phosphorus binders which I dead as it dies effect the appy often and he's already getting miralax. I don't know what else would cause this as his BG numbers aren't so high.

Thyroid? The weather? Neko is drinking a bit more too but mostly stable on her numbers. Is he taking something for his BP?

I agree on the fuds, there are so few out there that are low Phos and low carb.

Adding more good vetty visit vines and hopes for "something" else to explain the drinking/peeing other than kidneys

This disease is hard enough on us beans without all the complications that can come with it...especially trying to find fuds that are good for them and that they'll actually eat!

He's on amlodipine for his BP and has been for a few years. I'll know more tomorrow most likely when the labs come back. I don't think he's dehydrated but will see what his vet says.

We're back and I guess I'm hoping for a UTI. My vet said he looked good, no temp., and his bladder looked good on ultrasound to get the urine. I'll get the results tomorrow. He gave him some fluids just in case that might help. I measured and he's drinking a minimum of 200ml of water every 24 hours. That's in addition to the water in his canned food and the extra I add.

Thanks for the vines.

Glad he looked good!!! Hoping its a UTI or something easy too! Sending vines, and relaxation for Max after his big day!

It feels funny to say I hope Max has a UTI, but here's hoping! It's so hard to say what causes extra drinking & peeing. Sasha has been doing it for a while and her kidney values are good, her thyroid was actually a titch low, and her BGs are normal! WTH???o_O I would rather KNOW what's causing it so we can work on it.

Except for the PMPS, beautiful numbers today.

Vines and prayers for your DM, as well as good b/w result vines and :bighug:s for you, Elise.

Fingers crossed that it is "just" a UTI . Always feels weird to say that, but I would also much rather know what's going on and have something that's easily treatable and that explains his increased thirst. Keep us posted!
