Hey Y'all ~ What day is it???? My first realllllllly late night/morning with Bubba. Finally he came up in numbers (91 after a whole lot of HC and a few drops of Karo) so Momma could go to bed at 2 AM EST. Guess he really is in charge of leading, right? And he still managed to be 82 this AM. So he's going back to 5 units again. Where is his Goldilocks dose, you know, the one that is just right........let's see if this is it now. Catch everybody in few hours. Zzzzzz

The depot is probably still in play in this cycle.

I thought I told you to play nice Bubba? What do you mean you heard there was some extra fuds in it for you?

At this point, I don't think so, Bobbie. I'm more inclined to think what you're seeing is the depot at play... the residual effects of the higher dose. It usually took 5 cycles for the residual effects to dissipate with Alex... and she was on lower doses.

You know what to do....

After I posted,I thought of the depot. Guess I will have to hope that he doesn't go lower than 50 (this is his high point in his cycle usually) And he has 5 more hours with this dose. Yes, showered and out of the PJ's. Glad I got 150 test strips yesterday. :)

What "IF" he would drop below 50 in this cycle, ( I will keep close tabs on him) would I decrease tonight?

Do what you have to do to keep him up. :)

Lather. Rinse. Repeat. = same as last night.

Let's cross that bridge if we come to it. Before I could possibly answer that question I'd have to see how the rest of the cycle plays out... when in the cycle the drop occurred and how much you had to do to try to keep him over 50.
Like I said above, since we know we're seeing leftover depot action, do what you have to do to keep his numbers up.

I can't stay on the computer, but I can drop in in-between appointments.
 
Never trust the depot! It's likely what would cause any low today. For a lot of kitties, it's common to see some active cycles for a few cycles after a reduction. I have to watch for about three cycles after a reduction, didn't matter if she's on a high or lower dose - been both.

150 strips should last about 4 days at this rate. ;)

Bobbie, I followed your lead and stayed in jammies until 11! Now I'm heading out into the world to do errands but it was a lovely lazy morning. Hope you feel more rested now!
 
83 @ + 10 gave another .75 oz of MC to makes sure I can get him to PMSP w/o more food.

PS decided to also give a tsp of HC just for the money

Yes they are pricey, about $24 for 50 if I order from UK (at the pharmacy here I paid $87 for 100) I am back to using my original meter which George decided to send for a swim in his drinking fountain, the strips work out at about $17 for 50. I do like the freestyle though as it only requires a minuscule drop of blood, My sd meter requires a bit more, so I need to be sure to get a good poke!;)

PM +2, 239 YIKES! Good news: I guess I will get a good night's sleep and I will test him when I get up tonight around + 8. Hope this is residual of HC food late in the cycle and then 2 hours later dinner and not an indicator that the 5 u isn't going to cut it again.....sigh.
 
Hey Bobbie, wow you guys had an all nighter and a busy day! Looks like you may get some rest though. Hopefully it is just a bounce that will clear quickly and the dose will stick!
