Andy was 89 at amps after 1u the previous pmps so skipped his am shot. After breakfast, he was up to 138 and at +4 had bounced to 418.
We had been changing his schedule back to normal since the holidays. We tried tobring him down by 1.2u earlier this week. I have been trying shooting 1u if under 300 and 1.2 if over. Could that low 89 result from pzi's duration from the previous day? Any ideas? I plan to curve next week again to see what's going on. My understanding was when he was first diagnosed, he was only in the mid 200's. I am hoping we may be able to control with diet. :)

First, before I reply about dosing in general, since it's the weekend, you could give him insulin now and maybe keep him from going any higher. Your next dose might need to be 11 hours or so after this one, but would the flexibility of the weekend let you work your way back to your normal shooting times?

I would be sure I got another test to make sure that red is true.

About the SS. He has been looking pretty good and before this morning, I would have said a dose increase would be good. It might still, but I do wonder what happened this am. Anything different about last night - more food, less food, hairball vomiting?

Hi Sue - I just checked and he's at 414 at +6. Nothing different about last night except about 15 min variation on timing and hubby and I always double check on the dose. The only diff this week was taking him up to 1.2u abt 2 days ago. And we are back to normal times. I am retired so my schedule is not an issue unless I will be away etc. Thx!

Oops forgot to mention I need to go out for a while so am not comfortable with giving insulin until reg pmps today.

Hmmm. Interesting spreadsheet!
Looks like doses of 1.0 and 1.2 drop his numbers in half on the cycles where he actually shows and obvious nadir. Then it looks like he's prone to bouncing, giving you the flat pink cycles.

The 418 today, I'm thinking is a big bounce combined with no shot this morning. It isn't "all" due to skipping the shot.

It is possible that the dose needs to be reduced a little, but let's see what it looks like after this bounce goes away?
