Hi Bobbie 25 g is just short of an ounce, I don't weigh it, it's just rough reckoning, about a third of a 75g tin which is his usual meal, so about a third of his usual meal, or divisions thereof.

What auto feeder is everyone using? I am going to need one when I go back to work if not sooner.
I have two petsafe autofeeders one is a two meal

the other a 5 meal

they have space for icepacks so you can keep the food cool in summer if you are concerned it might spoil, haven't needed to use the 5 meal one yet, but the two meal one works just fine:). I don't leave it down all the time as George is a bit of a cat burglar and with previous dry food autofeeders he cracked the code and used to self medicate on kibble:rolleyes: so I don't want him associating it too strongly with meal times as he will hack it.

I like the 5 meal one. Do you know the brand?

How exciting to see Bubba surfing so nicely and love that green pre-shot. Most following TR will shoot as long as the kitty is 50 or above as long as you can monitor. I've shot 50 but wouldn't unless I was going to be home for atleast the following 5 hours but that is just me :) Surf safely and good luck with the auto-feeder.

ok Bubba, grab that surfboard!

Good job feeding that +3.5. You're right, it could be active. Hopefully he'll just keep his nice normal flatness but keep it in green.

You're prepared if he gets low, aren't you? Just checking. Sometimes once a cat snaps into all blue and green, they start to earn reductions fairly quickly. It's best if you can get him to surf (by feeding low carb to try to level him out, just as you did), but if they really want reductions then they can be pretty persistent about getting them! Be sure you're stocked on medium and high carb food in case you start needing to steer him more than you have been.

I have 2 can of FF of each HC and MC and will get more. I will test him again at +4.5 before I run out to get some more food for him. I am sooooo excited. As long as he is surfing safely, is every 3 hours enough to give him a snack of LC food?

+6.5 and he is still surfing in the greens. Dropped a bit to 75, gave some more LC .75 oz. Actually, both times today that I gave him a snack to steer are the times I feed him his snacks anyway. Of course, today, I have an appointment for my Mom and have to leave at his +8.5 . I will check him before I go and if he is still in the 70's I will give him a bit of medium carb food to hold him while I am gone for about 2 hours. Fingers and Paws crossed. :D

Woot-woot! Look at Bubba go! :D
Good plan. Don't be afraid to prop his numbers up with food for when you're gone... even if he's a little higher than 70s. You're still in somewhat uncharted territories with him. Better safe than sorry!

I won't be around at shot time. Have to run out to the airport to pick up my daughter and grandson, but will check back in after everyone gets settled.

Okey dokey! This is very exciting for sure. I think you are right about propping his numbers with some more food, just to be safe with uncharted territories with him. Travel safely to the airport and hope you have lots of fun with your daughter and grandson! :)

oh boy... yeah, since his nadir is so late it's best to bump him up a bit.

You've done a great job keeping him surfing with LC today but I guess he needs a little more.

Does this look right?
75 @ +6.5 LC
82 @ +7.5
51 @ +8.5 LC and MC or HC? <------ I'm not sure if you fed LC and MC or LC and HC
76 @ +9 MC

As an aside: Notice how much of a bump he's getting from the LC & MC. When propping up numbers all one is looking for is about a 10 - 20 point bump in most cases. This info will help you next time... cuz you know there's always a next time! LOL!
The last .75 oz of MC 30 minutes ago did not bring him higher, just kept him the same. Guess he could have gone lower with out it?
