Happy Boxing Day peeps!!!

Frankie is doing so much better on his increased dose of 2.75 twice a day. His bounces are only to the pinks, but he does throw the odd red in for good measure, and they are much shorter now and he regularly surfs the blues. I was waiting for three reduction figures before I decreased as he does not hold reductions well, but the third one never came. As I am using the pet meter AlphaTrak, do you think his numbers are ok and I should stay on this dose to is there room for an increase? I really am not sure about rocking the boat as he has never been this good since diagnosis nearly 2 years ago. Any advice?

As you are using the AT meter his numbers were in a normal range (4-9.7 for pet meters) for a day and a half. The higher numbers today may be a bounce. That is exactly what my Tuxie is doing last night and today after having a nice run yesterday morning. You may want to see how this cycle and the next go before increasing. My suggestion, but we will see what others have to say. :)

I tend to agree with Tuxedo Mom on this although I'm not a dosing guru. Looks though like Frankie may still be in bounce mode. Whatever. It sure is good to see how well things are going.

Yes Frankie is definately bouncing at the moment. Hopefully it is breaking but I will know at +4 if he is or not. That's why I was unsure of increasing as he is surfing for hours in the normal range. I'm not sure I want him to go lower than that, especially as he had two hypo numbers in there as well.

Cats can also bounce from too long spent in good numbers - if they aren't used to it. Neko used to do the same thing. Let's see where he is when the bounce is over.
