Still not feeling well after vaccination

LastThursday, Ben had his rabies shot. That night he threw up a couple times. And again the next day. He's still a little lethargic and running a low grade fever. Anyone else's sugar cat take a little longer to recover?
The only thing different this year was the type of rabies vaccine he got. Normally he gets the 1 year one but they were out I said the three one would work.
I took him to the vet yesterday and they gave him injectable Benadryl but Ben still seems a little off. Looking for advice from the sugar cat experts.
 
The three-year Merial PureVax rabies vaccine is hard on many cats. However, the cat should be over it two days after the shot. Some of my cats would eat little/none the next days but OK after that. Some show no effect.
Did/does Ben have a fever?
 
My cats always took 24 hrs to recover. Once or twice they had trouble with the leg on the side they gave it.

Last year I had Smokey "declared" medically exempt from rabies. Due to his age and unregulated diabetes my vet was all for it. As long as he's an indoor cat which he has been all his life and has at least yearly exams. He is seen quarterly by the vet and of course I take him in if something is wrong.

His temp was 103.3 this morning. Today would be 5 days from the vaccination.
