Skittles PMPS was 125 so no insulin

He seems to only need insulin once every 36 hours or so. I just want to make sure it's safe.

Also tonight it looked like he MIGHT have had a trace keto's. He also had a little blood on his bowel movement. It didn't feel all that hard , like maybe being to hard to pass normal. Tonight he was really playing around though ,well at least right before his PMPS

Here he is playing around under the tree skirt when I was trying to put it around the tree LOL!

Are you using 200 as your target to give insulin? Yes, it is okay, as he is moving toward remission (anti jinx) to give insulin as needed, when his pancreas isn't helping out. I would just be careful to test after you give insulin, just in case the pancreas decides to wake up and he drops lower than expected. Then you do the small amounts of food until he is back up in safe ranges.

Yes, at least I think I am. But I'm thinking I should or should have moved 180 by now? If you look at his SS, even today's numbers he has had a lot of blue & greens. And not that much insulin. This AM at 6:34 he was 176 and I was iffy but didnt shoot. Last night at -7 he was 177 ( just 1 point difference in 7 hours )
 
Up to you, Sherri. I think it might push him into green double digit nadirs which would be good. But you have to do what you are comfortable with, and only on cycles when you can monitor and bring him up as needed.
 
They are safe, regulated numbers. They are not remission numbers. Our range for OTJ is 2 weeks between 40-120, without insulin, with the majority of the time in double digits. (This range is for a human meter like yours, not a pet meter - for anyone else reading this thread.). He is close, but not quite there.

his PMPS was 107 ( 7:05 PM) Today is Monday

here is his whole day starting at 7:30 AM
AMPS= 139
+8.5= 125
PMPS= 107

No insulin since Saturday morn at 7:10 AM which was 1 unit. before that his last time was Thursday morn at 5:40 AM which was 1 unit. I am getting very happy :) The highest he has been in 7 days was 251 with his AMPS .
 
Scared me! GA means gone ahead or died!

But your news is great! Countdown starts. 2 weeks in that 40-120 range without a shot and we party! Sure I don't need to say that - once a diabetic, always a diabetic. He can never have high carb food again without risking the chance of needing insulin again.

Did you edit the thread title this morning? You must have added the "ga" prefix then by mistake? You can go back to the first post and remove it.
