So good to be back!!!
Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful messages, vines and prayers. They meant a lot to me and they worked! The power of the forum is mighty!
I am taking things slowly as I don't want things to go pear shaped again, although it does seem that it could well have been the medications I was given after the ablation which sent everything off the rails........

Sheba AMPS 243
Dropped down to 121 overnight.
She has been all over the place with her numbers since I was in hospital. She would drop fast then bounce. She had 2 fur shots which added to it all. Then she got sick which sent up her BSLs.
She didn't seem too bad when I got home but I could see the next morning she was lethargic again so I was able to get a late afternoon appt with the vet and she had more s/c fluids....temp was back to normal.
He thought that the pancreatitis could have been triggered because Sheba is very dependant emotionally on me and she got stressed when I just disappeared.
They are very caring at the vets. Mary the morning vet was still there at 6.30pm, long past when she should have gone home, trying to save a cat who was in acute renal failure......I was out in the treatment room staying with Sheba while she had the Subcut fluids, so they could get on with everything.
Then a cat came in, in a washing basket, who had been stuck in a drain, soaking wet and not able to walk on one leg......and complaining loudly.... Poor pumpkin.

This morning Sheba is much more like her old self. It look like she is bouncing from the lower number last night. Her SS is way out of date...I will try and do it later today. Her BSLs from when I was in hospital are on pieces of paper but I will try and figure them out.

Thinking of Marje and Mike today as they mourn the passing of their beautiful Gracie.

(((Bron))) it is so great to see a report from you. Especially since that means you are healthy enough to do so. :bighug: Sorry to hear that Bron is a bit off, but I bet it is because she missed you. I am glad she is more like her normal self now. Nothing like a good cuddle with one's favourite bean.

Still cheering on Team Sheba - awesome support group!

I'm glad you are home and Sheba is doing better. I'm sure you being gone contributed to everything going on with her. Sending prayers for you both. :bighug::bighug:

So glad you are home. Don't stress about updating the ss. How about leaving space in case you really want to fill in the blanks and just start with today's numbers?

Stress definitely can trigger pancreatitis. It's what started Max down that path. Feel good.

Great to see that you are feeling well enough to post Bron, we've missed you here! Take it easy though, we don't want you sick again. I'm convinced that Sheba's illness was caused by your absence, there is such a bond built up when you care for a sugar cat that she is bound to fret and stress out when you are not there, even though she knows and trusts Liz, it wasn't her mum. She should feel better just having you around. Rob and Liz must be relieved that you are back in control as well, although they did a fantastic job it must have been very stressful for both of them.

Good luck with getting your SS up to date, I'd start from today and just work backwards as and when you can.
:bighug::bighug::bighug: to you and Sheba.

Thank you Wendy, Carla, Suzi, Elise, Rhiannon and Suki for visiting.
It is good to be back....I missed hearing how all our kitties were and how all the beans were faring.
I am taking it very slowly and getting plenty of rest.
Sheba is keeping me in her sights since I got home and jumps up for a cuddle at every opportunity. She is asking Rob for food when he comes into the kitchen, something she didn't do before....I guess she sees him as a food source now!

(((Bron)))

I'm so happy you are home and doing better and back with your little Sheba. Sending you both massive healing vines, white light, and love.

@Marje and Gracie
Thank you so much for your kind words, and vines.....they are very much appreciated.
It is lovely of you to think of others at this very hard time in your lives. You must be feeling totally wrung out and exhausted. It is the hardest of times to get through losing a beloved kittie. We love our kitties so very much and when it is time for them to go it is just awful, no matter how prepared we think we are.

I am so happy and relieved to be home. It was hard being in hospital knowing Sheba was sick at home. But I have a wonderful family who looked after her very well......I am very thankful for all my blessings.

((((Marje and Mike)))) thank you again.

It is a very small thing, Bron. I can only imagine how frightening it is to be sick but to be sick and away from your baby who is sick....I am just so glad you are home and she is better. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Bron, I'm so happy that Sheba is feeling better and that she didn't have to stay in the clinic. Stress can do some weird things. Sending more vines for you both. Take it nice and easy as you ease your way back into your life. Sheba will understand.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty
