Doodles was a bully yesterday to his sister Moo most of the afternoon...very active boy. He's hardly eating any dry (1/2 tbsp.) at both pre-shots and we're working to eliminate all together. I've been feeding him twice in each cycle...pre-shot and between +4/5 so he's getting 3/4 can FF 4 times a day. It also seems his onset is close to +4/5 too. Should I change the second feeding time/

He has not been "green" in 3.5 weeks and we've done 4 dosecreases since in that time-frame and looking at another one likely tomorrow. His Fructosamine was 392 which the vet called it "good"...we know that is not so good :(

All 5 P's have been fine and he's been pretty happy so we are grateful for that. Hopefully the next dosecrease will help and we're moving toward TR.

I know it's frustrating, but sometimes you just have to keep increasing even after seeing green to get them back on track. The most important thing is that Doodles is feeling good. Once you find that "magic" dose, he should start getting normal numbers consistently.

Luckily I'm getting better with keeping my frustration in perspective. It helps that he really has been pretty happy these days especially yesterday afternoon in those blues. Dosecrease coming tomorrow unless a miracle happens today :)

No more dry for Doodles unless he stops eating so we're are going with a conservative TR. Any opinions for a dosecrease at PMPS please?

Was he eating Young Again dry or something else? I'd be tempted to wait 24 hours after he ate the last dry before starting to follow Tight Reg. If it was young again I wouldn't be as concerned, but any other dry I'd want to wait for the dry carbs to clear out, see where he was then, and then decide if he needed a dose increase. We've seen some kitties have their blood sugar increased by literally hundreds of points from just 3 pieces of dry kibble. That's why I wouldn't want to increase before I was confident his higher blood sugar wasn't being caused by the dry food.

How do you like the Carepoint syringes? I see that you switched to them on the spreadsheet.

He's been on a about 1/4 cup a day of YAZC but this week I started decreasing to 2 tbsp. a day and this morning he had 1/2 tbsp. and now he's done. He now gets FF classics 2 times each cycle @ 3/4 can. I do like the Carepoint syringes...almost zero air bubbles and the markings so far seem very consistent. I may wait until tomorrow for the dosecrease which would be 10 cycles. His blood work all came bac

Feel slightly discouraged (trying not too) and he's a bit lazy today but know why with that +9. Just don't understand why he's not making it to better numbers. Dosecrease tomorrow and we received the supplements for home cooking so we'll be slowly adding that into his food.

You'll get him there - I agree, I'd increase his dose in the morning.

It often seems like a cat will plod along, dose increase after increase, without the numbers changing much. Then you get to a sweet spot and BOOM, all of a sudden the spreadsheet improves.
