That was another's opinion that bump the dose up tonight to get her down again. That is the plan if she is high at pmps.

Wanted to believe otherwise but it appears there is indeed a failure at the reduced dose for now, so going back up .25 to look for that blue and green again.

Since she didn't get really low (like in the 30's) on the 3.75u, I think it was fine to increase back up and see if you can recover some better numbers again.

Good luck with the new dose - I hope you see more blues and some greens soon. It's not uncommon to have to go up and down around a dose for a while. I think that's one of the reasons they call this a dance.

I think too far ahead. I am already wondering if she hits a 90 or lower again with the 3.75 does that mean I would hold it another week, despite the "rule" to reduce because of the high spiking this week?
Is the rule always the rule or sometimes the exception with data?
It does make me nervous about her being 57 before. I will need to be able to monitor her with this upcoming move in less than a month. I am probably going to need advice for that moving day. Maybe the stress of it will prevent her from diving when I can't check her.

A month in feline diabetes is a lifetime! Lots could change between now and then - I wouldn't worry about what to do even next week at this point. This is one of those day by day diseases.
The "rules" are guidelines to start with. People learn how to use either SLGS or Tight Reg and then most people modify things based upon their cat and lifestyle. Since you don't have any of the things that would prevent you from using Tight Reg (she'd not eating dry food and you test multiple times per day) you definitely have some flexibility in your dosing. You could switch to following the Tight Reg guidelines if you want, which would include holding a dose until the cat went below 50 on a human glucometer.
How bout you see how she does on the 3.75u - with any luck it's going to bring her into a better range!

Thanks and you are RIGHT. Every day seems to linger, especially with me at home all the day.
I did take the advice of several of you to bump back to 3.75. I looked at her average for the same days on the 3.75 vs the 3.5 and it was consistently 80 points higher in the amps and pmps. That helped me feel like it was enough time. She was given the 3.75 last night and will continue.
I was not sure that I tested enough for the tight reg, when I say others ss and they were testing all the time. I did not feel that was fitting for us. But, if you think the testing I do is sufficient, I will read over that method and become more familiar with the differences. Want to ensure she is getting the best dosing possible and perhaps that means going to tight reg.
