Would someone please come explain to my kitties that Daylight Savings Time was NOT my idea??

China's appetite has been MUCH better today (of course) ....she's been hounding me for food since 4pm (which is her usual cut-off time for her 6pm shot) but tonight she has to wait until 6:45

Cheaser ate some breakfast and a little lunch, so his appy is a little better too!! Have been giving him 1/4 cypro to both help dry him up and stimulate his appy so he has food on board to fight the infection with

Cleo's still sneezing the most...but still eating the most too so I'm hoping she just stays that way until she shakes this thing too!!

All in all, it's been a better day today! :):):):)

All except China's BG....Man I HATE the idea of going up to 2.5 tomorrow, so I'm hoping she shows some improvement tonight!!

Going to be busy with Trick or Treaters tonight! When we first moved here, we'd have between 250-300 kids a night, but as the kids got older, it slowed to less than 50...but in the last year or so we've had several new neighbors move in with kids of all ages, so it's really hard to predict how many will be out this year! Of course it's been raining all day and it's quite chilly out, so that may keep some of them home from going house to house. We also have a huge nursing home that does a "Safe House" every year...they get over 1500 kids per year going up and down the halls and any resident that wants to hand out candy sits at their door (they supply them with candy)...some years the kids leave there and go house to house, but on icky weather years, a lot of them just go home!

glad your crew is doing better. Hope China's BG decides to cooperate and not increase tomorrow . I increased Norman today. I have been watching China to see what she does with this URI and her BG so I can calm my anxiety down . He gave me a 344 this morning ugh.....I miss the greens days lol
 
Glad you're seeing some improvement in the appys. Good sign. Annoying, perhaps, but a good sign. We've been doing time change since Polly's ickies a week ago. I figured if I had to spend time getting her to eat something, I may as well hold the delay and add on it through the week. Still, with forty minutes to go before food, I have one crazy dog who can't adjust!

No kids here. Big small-town wide Trunk & Treat down at the old jr. high. Movies, games, and treats galore. I still buy a bag of goodies for newcomers who may not know about the downtown festivities, but if I get five kids I'll be surprised.

Hope your kits continue to feel better and better and better.

So glad China's appetite is returning. Hopefully the others will follow suit soon.
I like the idea the nursing home has........great for the kids and great for the residents!

I totally agree...the residents really look forward to it and since only the ones that want to do it are involved, it's really a big night over there! They dress up if they want (with help from the nursing staff of course) and they put spiders on the doorjams of the residents that want visitors. It's been a big deal around here for many years...and the parents are thrilled to be able to take them to a safe place that's dry and warm and they know the candy is good. The merchants in the area donate candy every year, but I know there have been several years where they've run out and the nurses use their own money to run to WalMart and buy more so nobody gets left out

I'm glad the kitties are showing signs of improvement. Sorry poor China is having to wait for food now that she wants to eat. Sending prayers.

Whoo Hoo! Go Royals! I don't have a dog in the fight, but Ned Yost was a friend of Dale Earnhardt's, so the Royals have a place in my heart.

Miss China, what are we going to do with you? Did you get approval from LagoonMeister Rusty for this leave of absence you've been on? I think it's time you come back to work. Cinco's been staying on shore so he can be with you. This needs to stop.

So glad all the kitties are on the road to recovery, Chris. Sending mega vines to help them along.
 
That is a lot of kids! For the past several years I've had just one little girl that comes with her parents in tow but I guess she's outgrown it because she didn't show up this year. I kind of miss her, she was always dressed up in a different costume and I got to see how much she'd grown. On the plus side now I get to eat her treat!

Hopefully all the alcohol consumed at the party tonight will wash the rest of those bugs right out of them.
