That was some drop Hyde! How about you start a bit lower tonight and do it again, let's try skipping the bounce...

adding on some "try blue" vines to your sweet girl, Anne!

I feel like I'm twisting your arm and I certainly don't want to do that, but to just pass on an example from today of when you could've use R would've been with the 304. Just an fyi.:D

Yes, today would have been a good day to do it. I guess it does not matter that I would not be home (or awake) to do it every day but should do it the days I can. Right?

Correct. If it's only weekend or holidays, then that is less time spent in higher numbers. And it'll give you data on how she responds to R. Should you eventually switch to Levemir, you may have more opportunities to shoot R at preshot time.

There's a difference between monitoring the first time you use a dose and subsequent times you do. The first time you need to test hourly for 4 hours or so. From that, you can calculate how much that dose dropped her blood sugar.

Then subsequent times you don't necessarily need to test like that - you'd look at the circumstances (ie, is she rising or dropping and from where - 400 or 200) and decide from that when to test next.

And you only use it when you want to.

Does that make sense?
