Okay folks, I've attempted a search, but can't find the thread I am looking for.
Awhile back someone gave me a link to an alternative to ZOBALINE. I believe it was either @Mitzelplik's Mom or @Merlin ??
I love the ZOBALINE but it goes super fast, and is expensive when giving BID to TWO kitties. I want to keep giving it, but also supplement with the cheaper too. Since it is passed in the urine.
I know there's the Vitacost, but I don't think this was the suggestion.
I just remember that I really liked it , as a second choice.
Thanks for any help here.

At first, I bought a bottle of methyl B12 at GNC (at the store). I called their corporate headquarters and they assured me that there is not any sugars in the product. That was about 18 months ago so if you go that route, I would call and confirm. The pill is a little harder to crush than the Zobaline.

Cindi,
Is the GNC stuff injectable? I want something I can inject, it is the easiest way for me & my schedule. I also heard the vet may have a B12 injectable, that most members have reported, is around $12. ( Can't imagine my vet having ANYTHING that cheap!)
Thank you Cindi

No the GNC Methyl B12 is a pill. I don't know if there is an injectable methylcobalamin B12. I have read that some were getting B12 injections but it wasn't the right B12. You need to make sure that it says methylcobalimin.

My two cents is that I would not inject anything from GNC. Even their liquid B vitamins are for oral use and have xylitol or other sugar alternatives, and they are not sterile. You can get injectable methyl-B12 from the vet, but you have to ask specifically for the methyl or chances are that they will give you the other one. As I recall, it was <$20 at our vet. Hope you find some! :)

I bought some b-12 from nature's grocer, making sure it didn't have sugar in it, and then bought some folic acid and added it to the crushed b-12. But for Snickers I didn't really notice a difference in her neuropathy til I switched over to Lantus.

Hi everyone sorry for taking so long to reply!

The post can be found here - it was Vitacost and methyl-b12 plus folic acid in capsules.

The exchange rate hurts a bit but the shipping was incredibly fast.

There are links in the post to the actual products. (Online shopping junkie - just thought it would make it easier!)

Thank you everybody!! I really am considering having a local chemist friend take a look at the ZOBALINE and see what he can do to please me.
It's ridiculous that a B vitamin of any kind should be so expensive. I know it wasn't, until they knew kitty parents were so desperate for it.
And that's a shame.
**My Papa used to buy bulk brewer's yeast, instead of a B complex for us, because it is so chockful of stuff and he only paid like 14 cents AN OUNCE. I still use it.
I'll report back.
