Yesterday, at Tricia's House of Chaos

Not sure what Cinco's got going on here today. DH actually got a 291 on the first AMPS test so he retested (good man) and got the 247. I chose to go with the second reading (I like it much better ;)), but full disclosure is important here, so I'm 'fessing up. Cinco's just his usual self, so guess he wanted a pokey break. Good timing, since there was a race on today.

Minka, on the other hand, did not try to cut me any slack today. She hasn't wanted to eat at all. She's had all the meds and still won't eat, even baby food. She's stopped smacking her lips, but still not eating. I syringed 6cc of z/d so I could giver her the meds. She's been going over to the litter box a lot, so I wonder if it has to do with constipation. There are several small Minka nuggets in the big box in the family room (and one outside of it :confused:), so I know things are at least moving. Maybe the squash I've been giving her is starting to work and she's feeling like she's gotta go. I did put a little Miralax and a drop of oil in the food I syringed. I will syringe some more if she refuses dinner.

Sasha again got off to a slow start, but then her happy appy came back. I was just starting to think summer appy was back, too, as it's hot here again today (98 right now). Harvey has no such trouble. He's an eating machine. :)

Haven't done a darned thing (other than follow Minka around with food, give pills, etc.) today, so I'd better get busy and scoop the boxes and wash some dishes. Hope everyone is having a good Sunday.

Thinking of Wendy today as she mourns her dear Bailey. :bighug:

Could be some delayed influence from Friday's skip, who knows? o_O Cinco will get back on track.

Lots of apply vines for Minka going your way. We alternate blue sky and hard rain today. Must be fall, can't make up it's mind. I would be more than happy to send our rain your way, reservoirs are good now.

Okay, so maybe that first am reading wasn't a mistake after all. :confused: I'm NOT happy to see stinky pinky on our SS. I hope you're right, Wendy, and it's a delayed reaction to the skip. Cinco is pretty slow about most things he does. :rolleyes: Or maybe he's bouncing from the drop this morning. Whatever it is, I want it to STOP! :arghh:

I couldn't get Minka to eat any more all day. She started the lip smacking again late this afternoon, and since I'd already maxed out the nausea meds for the day, I gave her some SEB. An hour later she ate a couple of teaspoons of cat food. A short time after that she ate a couple of bites of her dinner. I'm going to keep stalking her with the plates and try to get a few more bites here and there, but if I'm not successful, I'll syringe some more. I wish I knew what was going on with her! o_O

It really has been hot today, in spite of the A/C cycling on and off all day. Hotter upstairs, which is where Sasha lives. She wasn't too interested in dinner. Ate a few bites to please me, but all she wanted was loving. She is so hard to resist. :kiss: I gave her a good rubdown and lots of chin scritches and got her to eat a couple more bites. I think she will work on it through the evening, but I'll try to get up there several times with reinforcing loving. Now that the sun's going down, things should cool off somewhat, but not as much as we're used to, and there's another hot day on tap for tomorrow. :(

Harvey is still eating non-stop. Does a mama's heart good.

Have you tried the old faithful, tri-tip? They always seem to be willing to eat that (funny how that works) Hopefully it is just the heat and when it cools down tonight, she'll feel better and eat more for you

Hey Cinco....Where you going buddy?? Pink is for girls (not this girl, but you know what I mean)....maybe I'll come see what's so interesting out there in the weeds
 
*Sigh*. Don't know what he's trying to prove here, but I wish he'd get his fuzzy butt back down where it belongs.

Minka ate a small dinner (second option). She ate a little more short time later. And a little more a short time after that. Baby steps.
