Oh, bummer. (Wanna knkow how many times I've wiped blood droplet splatter form my white kitchen chairs (not to mention having to "spot clean" clothes) from my little head-flinger?
Hate to do this to you, but would really like just one more test before you hit the hay. (Sorry!) Just in case ... (ya never know with these goofy kitties ...)
I have it all over the wall where the boys eat ( the picture I posted with them sitting at the buffet) I usually test him there. Also blood all over my sister-in-laws oil painting hanging over their buffet table. sigh but it blend right in.

Okay, he jumped up to 14o wow! That was fast. Looks safe to sleep now. Thanks for the BG ride with me Robin. I really appreciate it and I owe you some ice cream. :bighug:

I'm a little torn on what to do in the morning; he may bounce a little, but might be hard to tell because he's been running in the pinks @ AMPS anyway.
I'd almost be inclined to hold the dose if he's in the pinks; if he's in the yellows, I'd be more inclined to reduce by about 0.2 to 0.25U. In either case, I know you'll be able to monitor him closely & know what to do if he's dropping too fast. You have a good night, sweetie! :bighug:

Good morning ladies! Where is Mr. Bubba at today? I'm catching up on this thread now...

Well, I've had my coffee (sans fly) this morning. :) I see that you had an active evening! Sounds like Bubba is finally getting on board with the insulin (anti jinx!).

Have you shot already?

Good Morning Rachel, hope your coffee is sans fly this AM. Bubba bounced, 360this AM also I was 30 mins late with his dose, don't think that made a huge difference. We had a PJ party last night, not too bad I was in bed by 12.15ish. Late for me! Today should be interesting.

I just sent you a message. Yes, I shot, held the dose of 2.5 since it did it's magic yesterday evening. I need coffee too.

Thanks! Coffee is a much happier place for me today lol.

I see you went for 2. 5 today. I like it!

Yeah, after reading last night's thread, I figured you'd see higher numbers. Those sudden lows plus the extra noms will do that. That's okay! You did what you had to do last night...now we have more data to work with! Glad Robin was here for you (as I knew she would be).

Today should be interesting! I'll try to check on you during the day (yay work) just to see how things are going.

12:15 is late for me too! :)

Thanks Robin, He has a vet apt for pre-cleaning bloodwork so todays nadir will be right after that so I expect him to be high. Today's numbers might not be too helpful. I'll get a reading right before I take him at the +4.25 .

What a fun night for you guys! Great job, cool heads! I think staying the course with the dose, managing the lower numbers with food is a great idea, Bobbie. The longer he stays in the lower ranges the better - as long as you can deal with sleep deprivation. No surprise with the am bounce. Hopefully, the more he sees those greens and blues, the less he will feel the need to bounce.

I sure hope so Sue. He did great and I was surprising calm, especially knowing I had Robin guiding me. Let's see what today brings. ;)

Guten Morgen, Bobbie! (My tip o' the hat to the PA Dutch country; my dad grew up in Lancaster after he came over from Germany.)
Bubba did as we expected this a.m., although I was actually pleasantly surprised @ that pink #:); I thought it might be considerably higher than that! Will be interesting to see what today's vet visit does to his #s today. (I am so not looking forward to Bat's dental visit on 9/15:nailbiting:).

@Rachel - Isn't morning coffee so much nicer without the fly garnish?:woot:

Ha! to Rachel!! Wow about your Dad growing up in Lancaster. Small world. Yes, I was surprised he wasn't higher too. I am starting a new thread about his vet visit and dental cleaning/ extractions .
