Is anybody feeding Young Again Zero Carb dry kibble?

I know canned food is best for our kitties but I have die-hard kibble junkie who will only eat limited amounts of wet food. I cannot have any kibble with carbs anywhere in my house because he will find it, and it wreaks havoc with his BG. I bought a bag of Young Again Zero Carb, but haven't tried it yet, just wondered if anyone else is using it and likes it.

Hi Lucy. I was giving it to my cats to transition them to wet food and it worked like a charm. They both loved it. I was giving it to them as is at first to get them used to it. The company says let them free range eat and they will self regulate. Doesn't work with Bubba, he's a hog/cat. So after I knew them both liked it, I put some in my magic bullet (or can use a food processor ) and made it into crumbs, then sprinkled it over the can food. I did that for a couple of weeks, then I stopped with the Young Again and went just to wet because of the moisture level in canned. Hopes that helps you. My kitties were both dry food addicts too.

Thank you, yes, that does help me, quite a bit!
Edit: My cats are also hogs, no way I could leave it out for free feeding!
 
My dry-food addict likes it! I give her the YA Mature Zero Carb. YA sent me samples of both the Mature and regular Zero Carb and she likes both but I went with Mature because she's, well, mature. :)

If you want to try it out, call the 800 number on the YA website and ask for samples. That way you can make sure your dry-foodie will eat it before you spend the money. (And when they send the sample, they'll send a code for a small discount off your first order too.)
 
Max eats it everyday with no problems. Loves it so does are non sugar baby. Should add max is in remission for four months now. He eats wet but loves his dry. I love young again.
 
I have never heard for Young Again Zero Carb Kibble. Where did you find it. I feed my cat wet. But, she too is a diehard Kibble girl. I would like to try some with her as well. Look forward to hearing your answer. Thanks so much for the info. Good luck from Jane and Stewey
 
Thanks for the info. I appreciate the quick response. She does rather well on the wet but manages every so often to get into the dry kibble and really chows down. Then, it takes about 2 days to get everything back to normal. Thanks from Jane and Stewey.
 
I'm using Young Again for my non-diabetic Maine Coon cat, Marley. He doesn't like canned food, but I'm trying to switch him to low carb so he doesn't have problems like my diabetic Zoey. I mix it half and half with his current dry food (Blue Buffalo Wilderness), and he likes it. When Zoey happens to get into it, her blood sugar doesn't spike nearly as much. I would like to eventually change to all YA, but it's pretty expensive for a big eater like Marley.
 
Supposedly, the cat eats less of the Young Again. And compared to the cost of treating diabetes, the food may be less costly.
 
Yeah, Marley is about 20 pounds. Not fat, just a big Maine Coon boy. Zoey, his diabetic housemate, just got into his dry food again. I'm mixing one more bag of YA with his dry and then he's going off the Blue Buffalo whether he likes it or not! And I'll still work on moving him to dry. Thanks for your input!
 
Never heard of this food. My 17 yr old diabetic is always begging. But all dry food has been removed. However I'm wondering if living a small amount out while I'm at work would be good for him. So I dont have to worry about hypo episode.
