I posted in ProZinc too:

Last night I gave Bubba 1.6u reduced from 1.8 because of how fast he fell yesterday. So after the PM shot, he went up 28 points at the +4 and then at +7.5 he started coming down to 172. Now at AMPS he is 142. So I am stalling and retest. If he doesn't reach 180 won't shot. Or should I shoot a reduced amount Ok, I just retested and he is only up to 149. I will give it another 20 mins and do one more test.

UPDATE: retest and he only came up to 149 so mins later.

Hope I am not going to kill my cat, but after I stalled 40 minutes and retested and still got 149 I fed Bubba and he ate well. I waited about 20 minutes and then gave him .6 u. My reasoning is that I do not want to lose momentum with getting him into the blues again. I am home to test today and keep an eye on him. It seems like he wants to fly right but then......the curveball.

You're not going to kill your cat.....sounds to me like you're making the best decision you can to keep him safe!!

Better too high for a day than too low for a moment!!

Thanks for your reply Chris. I was just concerned about shooting a number under 150 but figured the food brought him back up by the time I gave the chicken @#&*dose. He is just not following the manual, HA! Wish there was a manual that beans and sugar babies would follow. He is outside scouting his second breakfast of mice, voles, squirrels, or birds....oh my. I am constantly grabbing dead mice out of his mouth!

Hey Bobbie,

I am going through crazy glucose numbers and bounces with my cat Nicky too. I threw out the manual a few weeks ago <g>. I think you will be ok as long as you are home to monitor. That way you can catch an decreases early and address before he would get to low.

I think this was a very smart move, Bobbie! Don't you sometimes feel like you're doing this sugar dance on a giant chess board?
("Checkmate!")

Am now imagining: Chess board on trampoline. You on chess board - sugar dancing! :)
I sure am! The chicken @#$* dose this AM of .06 is rising him instead of lowering him. Maybe bouncing but last nights' numbers were 172 at +7. So between there and AMPS he only fell to 149 unless he went lower at +8 through +12 and back up to 149??. He has been lower than that before but it was closer to nadir. I am so confused with his agenda. What the heck Bubba??

I hear that (frustration), Bobbie.:banghead: I'm getting ready to do a thread on ProZinc forum today myself ... to get some ideas about what the heck to do with Bat-Bat (take a peek at her SS; did a little "experiment" yesterday, not so happy with the result as of this a.m. Dang it!)

Anyway, hope it helps to know that you're in good company.;)

Hey, how do you post just part of a thread like you did ?

There are two ways to do it:

1. Click 'Reply' on the post you wish to quote from. As usual the full quoted post will appear in the box where you enter your posts. Delete any text you don't want to include in the quote.

2. Go to the post you want to quote from. Click and drag your mouse pointer over the text you wish to quote. When you release the mouse button you'll see a little black tag appear on your screen below the highlighted text with the word 'Reply' on it. Click on the Reply tag and the highlighted text will be quoted in your response.

3. If you wish to, you can use the click and drag method multiple times in any response, so you can quote separate points and reply to them one by one in your responses.
