Oh yay!Tucker will get agitated because they're being fed & he's not - that's GOOD: His BG will keep rising!!!![]()
(imagining Brenda as "Lion Tamer" here, complete with top hat, tails & lion-taming whip: "Back, you hellions - BACK!")Oh yay!
I like it!
Now if I can separate them!!!!!
And there's some of the "joy" and excitement of living with a diabetic cat; sometimes they really blow your schedule out of the water.Yea right. Well they mysteriously gave up!
I am playing w T to distract him! So they are playing too!
But I've got errands! Dang it!!!
Yep, looks like no shooting. Happens.Oh wow! Sorry, I just arrived to read through your thread here. Yeah, I wouldn't shoot. He was rising but is going back down...so I'd avoid insulin. He might be high tonight, but that's okay.
Okay. Will do my best to make it understandable to all!Even though he'll probably go high tonight, I'd think twice about fattening that 1.4 (as in last night's dose.) I know it's frustrating, but ...
I'd like to see Sue weigh in on your next move, as she's much better than me at intuiting what your next move may be at this point.
BTW, would be a good idea to note times (in terms of before/after +4, +8, whatever) & amounts of food every time he eats anything in a cycle in "Comments" section - may be helpful to all trying to figure this bouncy thing out.
I'm with Robin...I think we may need to adjust the dose some tonight. We'll probably just need to wait and see what your preshot number is.
@Rachel , @Sue and Oliver (GA) - Yep, maybe Tucker's sleepy pancreas is starting to snap out of it, eh? ... Sue, do you recall how at one point (some months back) you had suggested we reduce the dose just a little & hold it when Bat-Bat was doing that weird hang-time thing with the bouncy-bounce? And yep, it worked!I think there are two possibilities. I like Rachel's idea that his pancreas might decide to wake up every few cycles. And I am still wondering whether his pattern might be two or three cycles of higher flatter numbers after a low nadir.
So I think it could be either or a combination of both.
I guess I'd lower the dose to 1.2 and just hold it for several cycles, expecting that he might run a little high for a while before he drops.
Always happy to help to the best of my ability, Brenda. So glad Rachel & Sue will be around tonight - two very smart cookies! As for me, I'm having some fatigue issues lately (just woke up again a little while ago) but do plan to check back in tonight after you get home from work.Thank you Rachel!! Thanks for looking out for us Robin! Xo

I was wondering if it might be sputtering!! He just seems livelier, happier when he's low.@Rachel , @Sue and Oliver (GA) - Yep, maybe Tucker's sleepy pancreas is starting to snap out of it, eh? ... Yep. I agree!I think 1.2 is a good plan too. It might help nudge him into more consistently lower numbers without spurring as much bounciness.
,397 Robin!Yep. I agree!(And I'm actually awake.
)
Thanks and same to you!!Me three. Hope you have a quiet night
I appreciate it Rachel!Sounds good! I'll be around tomorrow morning at 10 so I'll stop in to check on you then.![]()
You go get some more rest!Give Mr. Bouncy-Bounce a scritch under the chin for me, Brenda! And for you ...![]()
