Luna the humble bug made her mark a few times on one specific rug. I've used steam cleaning nuclear powered vinegar/carpet cleaning solution about 45 times on the spot, and the smell is engrained. What trickery do I need to destroy this horrible odor?

Odormute is a great product to use to remove urine smell from carpet, clothing, cement floors, etc. Check your local pet stores to see if they carry it or you can order it online. There are detailed instructions inside the box on how to treat specific surfaces. Just remember, once you mix it up it is only good for 24 hours. Hope this helps.

I'm thinking "Nature's Miracle" is what I need. She's declawed (previous owners) and sometimes we're dumb and lazy and don't get to the box on schedule and she won't use it.

Thanks I'll check that out too.

I like Simple Solution. I had an apartment up in Akron where the previous tenant's cat(s) had soiled a 3 foot wide band around the entire perimeter of the carpet, which had no pad so the wood underneath had been saturated, too. I pulled back the carpet, saturated it with the product and covered with plastic for 24 hours, and scrubbed the floor with it, too. It took 2 applications (it was really built up!) and then the odor was gone.

For people in the UK following this thread, Simple Solution is available on ebay and Amazon (4 litre cheaper on Amazon at time of posting).
