This is urgent! My kitty is at 266 glucose level and I was told to do 2 units of insulin at 7:30pm but I'm scared to do that much and in late on his insulin. What do I do?

Hi Danielle!! As long as you have plenty of test strips, high carb food (in case you need it) and can test throughout the night (If necessary), we'd suggest shooting the scheduled dose (the 2 units)

It's going to be really important for you to get our spreadsheet started and start to chart Milo's numbers so we can see how he's doing along with you

(She has posted on Facebook and needs to make a decision now)

We need you to work on getting our spreadsheet going so we can see how he's been doing. Here are instructions on "How to set up the spreadsheet"

I know you have some test results, so put the ones you already have into the spreadsheet when you can. If you have any trouble getting it set up, let us know and we can help!

AMPS is the AM Pre-shot (test before the AM shot)
PMPS is the PM Pre-shot (test you get right before the PM shot)

U is for how much you shot in Units

The "+" system is used here so we don't always have to ask how long it's been since you shot since we're all on different time zones, so +1 is 1 hour after the shot, +2 is 2 hours after, etc.

You also need to remember that tomorrow, you won't want to shoot at your "normal" shot time..if you stalled tonight, you can work your way back to your chosen schedule 15 minutes per cycle

On this forum, ( the main) we still advise shooting numbers over 200.
Keep updating so we'll know what you are doing and whether or not you need help later on.
