I think my Lucy might be a bit constipated the past few days and I read that benefiber might be useful for people with diabetes in helping with constipation and reducing glucose levels and improving response to insulin too. I have been thinking about why her glucose levels have been up the past few days and wondering about the effects of constipation on glucose levels though we are increasing the insulin dose today too. I know cats are carnivores so benefiber might not be beneficial in the same ways but I wonder if others have used benefiber and if you have noticed any increase or decrease in glucose levels from using it for your cats. Thank you.

Pumpkin also works well. For both constipation and loose stools. The issue with fiber is to make sure they drink enough water so I'm not terribly trusting of that.

Thank you for your reply and yes pumpkin seems to work well for both loose stools and constipation too.
