yesterday's 24 hour blue cycle

Crystal had a great all blue day yesterday. Started okay this morning but had a feeling she might be getting away from me with the 9uR and sure enough, back to yellow for this cycle. So, I've increased the R to 10 units to see how she reacts to this increase, same again tomorrow morning. Will be out for a chunk of the tomorrow's AM cycle so didn't want to go too high with the dose when I'm not around, DH will be in charge of feeding.

Another sweltering hot humid 38 degrees, so everyone's flaked out in shady spots.

Vines and wishes to all in need.

It's got to be so hard to keep increasing and she keeps overriding the dose. They say IAA only last for a about a year. OK Crystal your year is up give your mama a break. Start coming down. I keep crossing my fingers that she will see a breakthrough soon.

Hope the weather gives you a break soon.

thanks Peg, I do too. She's never been dx with IAA but it's pretty obvious she has it and as you say, its about a year ago now that I was beginning to see the resistance to the then Caninsulin, with ever increasing dosages. If someone had told me then that she would be getting 60u a shot, I would have been horrified, but you do what you have to do. I will carry on increasing the R steadily to try to keep ahead of the IAA but I've lost ground today unfortunately, still flat and yellow :(

Crystal and I are off to bed now for a cuddle, night night.

Come on down Crystal!

IAA is so frustrating! It's anyone's guess as to what is going on...and I don't think the cat really knows either! I pray it breaks soon for you Suki. You're doing a great job managing all of it and listening to Crystal's needs. I wish we had a crystal ball that would show us when it would be break. At least, then, you would know when you are working toward!

Sending more hugs of support and scritches for Crystal! :bighug::bighug::bighug: It is like the increase of R works then poof, it doesn't. You are doing a great job of managing a very tough situation!

Thanks ladies for looking in and for your support, I really appreciate it at the moment. One step forward and two backwards it seems.

234 at AMPS, so gave her 10uR, feel she might need more but it's a bit difficult as today and tomorrow I'm out for long lunches so won't be around to check on her. She's not prone to diving (antijinx) but you never know so safety first. so frustrating that the dose works for a few cycles and then goes stale on her, I feel I'm playing catch up all the time. Oh well, keep plugging away.

I wonder if her "yellow periods" are just her form of bouncing cause she just not used enough to those blues. I notice on her SS that a number of times she has about 6 cycles of yellow before she returns to the blues. Bounces can last up to 6 cycles. That combined with IAA is no fun.:bighug:
