yesterday's blues

Crystal had a very good day yesterday remaining in blues the whole day apart from an early morning blip at +2. Dare I say it but looks like the 9uR is currently the right dose (antijinx) for her so will continue with this dosage until the resistance comes back, which it will.

Anyway, today is good, hot but not quite so humid and we have a bit of a breeze, kitties not so exhausted nor their beans. Have friends coming in about an hour for a bbq, glad I'm not having to cook anything as DH is quite happy to play the chef.

Hope you all had a good 4th July for those celebrating. We have the 14th July celebration for Bastille Day coming up, when the peasants stormed the Bastille in Paris and beheaded the Governor, the start of the French Revolution, gory days past. In fact our nearest town, Saintes, is home to Dr Guillotin, who invented the machine named after him which caused about 15,000 heads to roll. OK, history lesson over.

Fantastic set of blues for Crystal!:cool: Great job Suki.

BBQ is great in the hot weather. Our propane ran out yesterday - aack!

Lots of history in France. Some of the French holidays are celebrated in Quebec, but not Bastille Day, thankfully.

Thanks Rhonda, Elise, Marilyn and Wendy for checking in on Crystal's progress today. She has had good blue numbers all day. Gave her 9uR at AMPS and PMPS and she has carried on surfing nicely. One thing I've noticed with lower numbers for her, is that she is much more hungry than normal, so I've been feeding her lots of mini meals and of course she's just had some tandorri chicken as a treat.

My DH would have a fit with using a gas bbq, nothing but the real thing with coals, singed eyebrows are de rigour in our house! Actually he's pretty well got it sussed but it does get rather hot cooking for a hoard, they've all gone home now so just the clearing up to do, and a swim to cool down.
Hope everyone is enjoying a relaxing Sunday.

We used to have a coal bbq but having to wait for heat, deal with old coals made gas a lot more appealing. And a lot more control over the heat.

Until Crystal spends more time in blues, she'll be more hungry there. Then it'll be greens that'll get her hungry. Lucky her on the tandoori chicken!
