ALPHA TRAK 2 PET METER READS HIGHER THAN HUMAN METER

RECAP:

AMPS -398; +3.5-284; +6-248;
PMPS -421: +3-257: +5-165: +7.5-56

Tuxie was so so in the morning and seemed to be doing the same in the evening. However at PM +7.5 he gave me a 56 on AT2 meter and a 38 on the FS Lite meter. I am learning not to get too complacent with his numbers, even though I have lots of data and have a pretty good idea what his "normal" patterns are. Tuxie really likes to mix things up from time to time.

I did a .25 unit reduction for AM. Fingers crossed that there is no big bounces and he holds this reduction.

It's the same with Frankie. I see a number under 68 and reduce. Then it fails. I am going back up to 3 units again tonight for the third time!! This time, I will hold it a bit longer to see if it is just a one off depot thing or he needs an actual decrease.

Mary Ann --

When you see a bounce after a cycle that indicates a reduction is needed, you have the option of "shooting through the bounce." In other words, you could give your old dose one last time before reducing. This may help the bounce to clear a bit more quickly.

I am thinking that you are both right. Unfortunately after Tuxie's late night drop I couldn't get back to sleep so this morning I am operating in a fog and not really thinking until I get a nap in. Hindsight is such a wonderful thing isn't it?? :arghh:

Tuxie was doing OK with the dose reduction until PMPS. I am thinking this is his bounce after the low number last night. Fingers crossed that he clears the bounce soon.

Tuxie - I hope this is your way of giving the bean a break on the pokies last night. Looks like she needs her sleep!

Neko often delays her bounce. I very seldom shot through the bounce cause it didn't show up until later. :rolleyes:

Good luck with the reduction. May he continue to surprise you, but in a good way.

Knowing my Tuxie he will wait until I am ready for bed and decide to go diving. At least I was able to get a couple of hours sleep during the day today.

Tuxie seems to have cleared his earlier bounce and (anti-jinx) is holding his reduction. I hope he doesn't do any more dropping tonight..I am really tired and need sleep, so I gave him a Tbsp reg food to keep him (hopefully) surfing the blues.
