What can I say, same old, same old, another flat day of yellow numbers:

Recap on today:
230 AMPS - gave 4.0u R
293 +4
239 +7
243 PMPS - gave 5.0u R (highest dose so far)
247 +3

Anyone have any thoughts, she's ignoring the dose increase threat. Eating well, sunbathing, cuddles this morning so not all bad I suppose but this IAA/Acro is definately the pits, will we ever conquer it.

(((Suki))) (((Crystal))) 5P's are present, so that's good! @julie & punkin (ga) used to quote someone named Jo-Jo, who was an advisor on this board. Jo Jo used to say, Be A Tank, a tank will always get you where you need to go! That really stuck with me when Tiger's numbers were stuck in black and red. The other thing is I remember Sandy & Black Kitty, they went up I forget how many units, then there was no protocol for IAA. But somehow Black Kitty went OTJ, so you never know in life- anything can happen, so we just have to stay the course. Hang in there, we're here for you! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I think you'll need to increase one of the insulins, be it R or Levemir.
The only other idea I can generate is to consider something like NPH, which lasts a couple hours longer than R does, and the other Acro folks haven't figured out a protocol for that, so you'd be trail blazing on that.

Sending lots of vines your way. I can't imagine how frustrating this all must be for you. I just scrolled through her SS, though, and it really was striking how much improvement you've had in the last 6 months. I know that doesn't help much in the day to day battling the flat yellows, but its remarkable what you've been able to do for her. :bighug:

Hi Suki,
I completely get how frustrated and fed up you are feeling with the high bsls. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
But Patricia is right...I know I have said this before....if you look at Crystals SS before, it was mostly pink.......now there is only the odd pink one here and there and it is blue, yellow and several spots of green. So you are making progress. You should print off the SS in colour and put it on the wall so you can see how far you have come...

I like that idea!

You're walking a tough road. But her numbers are pretty flat. Better than going up! Still, you do want to keep ahead of the iaa/acro. I just have no advice.

Polly was always FlatPolly-YellowPolly. For a long, long time. But even before the SRT, without R, she finally got to a point where she spent considerable time in the blue. Our mantra through the whole process, "we just keep plugging along."

198 at AMPS. Trying 3.5 uR.
Lori, Andrea, Ruth, Bron, BJ, Peg, Patricia and Marilyn thanks so much for your encouragement, just think I was feeling a bit low last night over Crystal's continual resistance, sometimes it just gets to me and I wonder why the hell I'm bothering with all this. I'm sure we've all had those moments, luckily they pass. This morning she was blue so last night's dose did shift her a bit in the right direction. I gave her another increased dose of R and hope that she will surf blue this cycle, paws crossed.

I'm glad Crystal broke the blue barrier this morning. :bighug: IAA is the pits. It's supposed to be self limited after around a year, but there's variability in that time frame. An R increase is the safer increase, cause it's in and out.

With Neko at the beginning, we'd have one good cycle, followed by 6 bounce cycles. Lather rinse repeat. I hating waiting those 6 cycles. And far too much red/black. You've done a great job getting her where pink barely shows up. She's spending time under renal threshold, all good.
