Bud Saturday: http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/...25-44-reduce-again-or-no.139051/#post-1434289

Bud earned a reduction Saturday afternoon after dropping to 44 after having just earned a previous reduction Thursday night for dropping to 42. I haven't seen any greens since Saturday and not many blues either. Is it time to officially call the 2nd redution a fail and go back up to 0.5? I know he was in a bounce but I thought he cleared it when I got a yellow preshot last night, but then I didn't see any good numbers after that.

Sorry, your SS won't open. Was that 2 reduction close together? It may be a fail on the second reduction, but you aren't through 6 cycles yet, they can surprise us at the last minutes.

Well shoot. I don't know what's up with the spreadsheet. Maybe if @Marje and Gracie pops in, she'll take a look at it for me as she is my spreadsheet wiz. :D (Thanks in advance Marje if you do pop in!)

Here should be a direct link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12j_3l_Bf-3e3kFY-ODShNmtPw_Clrx8S_wD6QElG7M4/pubhtml

The language in the TR protocol doesn't specify waiting 6 cycles to go back up, but I wanted to make sure someone else thought it was a failed reduction, too, before going back up.

From the TR protocol:
If an attempted reduction fails, go right back up to the last good dose as soon as you see kitty's numbers trending upwards. You don't have to hold the reduced dose for a certain number of cycles before taking the dose right back up. The guidelines listed under the topic "Increasing the dose" do not apply to a failed reduction.

Yes, so Thursday night Bud was on 0.75. I reduced to 0.5 Friday morning, and then reduced to 0.25 Saturday evening.

I can see your spreadsheet fine.

I think it's not super obvious if it's a failed reduction or not. It's possible he's in a bounce from the night of 6/6, where he was an amps 99 the next morning. It does look like he's been clearing bounces within a day, so it's a little stretch to think he might still be in a bounce from it, but the tests on 6/8 and 6/9 look like they could be bounce numbers. I think I'd give it one more day and if you don't see blues/greens, then go back up to 0.5u. As Ann said, sometimes dose reductions taken too close together don't hold.

sometimes dose reductions taken too close together don't hold.

And I was afraid that would happen. It was nice, however, to get a little break from so much testing. But now, I am missing those lovely greens on his spreadsheet. :D

Sounds like a plan, I will give it one more day. Thanks!

Popping in :). Stacy can you pls send me s PM and let me know what is causing a SS problem so I know what your concern is please? Then I'll fix it :):):bighug:
