Sammy did come down to 105 at +9 last night. I guess it is possible that he dropped under 100 prior to that because he typically has nadir earlier, and then takes a double dip. I do know that he eat within the hour of AMPS so food definitely influenced his PS number this morning. Hopefully we will see some lower numbers back under 100 today.

I am still not sure what caused the higher numbers yesterday, but it was probably the new food. If it was the food it is amazing how much food can effect the numbers, even when the food is under 10%.

Hope everyone has a nice day. All my weekend chores were completed on Friday to get ready for Knit Club yesterday, so I have another free day of fun today.

I learned early on that Skooter is pretty carb sensitive.....usually I don't need to break out HC or Karo as the MC normally jumps him RIGHT up!

Slide on down there Sammy! Join Skoots in the lagoon!

I think a jump from 3-10% can make a difference if a cat is real carb sensitive like Sammy and Max are. I actually consider the 9-10% mc for Max. Batches vary as well which is one reason they put minimums and maximums on the cans. Sammy has to be sensitive. Look at the reaction with the probiotic.

I have found the same thing, but I didn't realize he would have such a reaction to a 10% food. I feel other 10% foods and he doesn't have the same problem.

Actually, I had been feeding about ⅓ 8-10% food with most of his meals before this, but this particular 10% food was a new variety.

Looks like Sammy is having a very similar cycle to yesterday's cycle. I had high hopes when he almost went under 100 last night, but that could be mostly in part due to the fluids.

He still seems like he is feeling just fine, but I have a call in to the vet so hopefully she will call me in the morning.
