Guess the hangover from the Strawberry Full Moon party finally kicked in today...China's been sleeping on shore most of the day and she just barely went out into the lagoon

LagoonMeister Rusty is going to be disappointed if he catches her snoozing on the job!!

Hopefully she's slept it off today and will be down there tonight to hand out water wings, set up the volleyball net and start coaching the synchronized swim team!!

Why does the lagoon scare me so much???

When we first start, most of us are scared to death of the lower numbers because everyone warns us of the problems with hypos, but after we started getting those green numbers, we get addicted to them quickly!!

If you're home testing, you're going to be in control of your cat's blood glucose and you learn how your cat responds to different levels of carbs in food...and once you'd safely brought them up a few times (when they do go below 50) you gain lots of confidence that you know what to do and can keep your kitty safe as well as in those great numbers

Why does the lagoon scare me so much???

I was afraid of the lagoon for a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time! Another reason I think people fear it is when your cat has higher numbers, its not uncommon for them to go down by like half in a cycle and so I think people (at least I did) kind of feared if I shoot an 80, he will go down to 40 and then I have a possible hypo....and its just not the case. I had to start shooting green for the phrase, "Shoot low to stay low" to really sink in.

I will say, as scared of the lagoon as I was, I got addicted to it reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaally fast lololol
