Paws crossed on that reduction.

You asked if I'd tried Rayne for the fur kids and the answer is No. Mine are on a raw diet and I haven't seen the canned raw in the stores. I think it's available through vets.

The reason I left it out is because I ran out of ideas on what to call it. I adjust for bubbles and when I decrease by tiny amounts it's hard to name. I'll give it a name though in units.

Sorry I didn't get back to respond to this. Since you probably have it down to where your bubbles are consistent, I'd make a chart that a specific caliper reading = a specific dose. Because of the bubbles, it might be very different than everyone else's Terumo caliper reading for a dose but it doesn't matter. What matters is that it's always the same for Max. I actually made a mm=unit chart from 2u all the way down in 0.1u increments so any time I change the dose, I look at my chart and get the mm reading I've already calculated for that dose.

Thanks everyone. It definitely could be a delayed mini bounce as well Marje. Thanks for reminding me of that.

Hi Elise,
It looks like Max is getting over the mini bounce/food spike?
Paws crossed he holds the reduction.

I have tried Rayne's frozen cooked kangaroo for Lucy and Ginger.
They didn't think it was the tastiest thing in the world, but they ate it OK.
Rayne's wet used to come in a tub, but they are changing it to canned because (I think) they are changing the manufacturing site to Australia as Wendy mentioned.
I have seen their wet with turkey, pork and rabbit, but don't remember them making their wet with kangaroo.
They did make dog kibbles with kangaroo.
When I was trying Rayne for Lucy, they had dry, wet (in tubs) and frozen cooked food for cats, and they used kangaroo for frozen cooked formula only then.
Do they make wet kangaroo cat food now? Perhaps they do now with the new manufacturing plant being in Australia.
I'd be interested in trying it too for Cashmere..... I'll check with our vet!

Hi Mariko. Nice to talk to you. There us a company that sells canned kangaroo cat food. The trick is to find it though. I just found the literature that the rep sent me. They will only sell to specialty pet stores so no pet Smart or Petco and they won't sell on the Internet. That is why when I found it a few places it says for pick up only. He told me if I go to a store he would special order it to the store if the store is interested. He sent me 3 oz and a 6 oz can and Max ate the 3 oz. I will see if he will eat the next can before I try to buy it. I also want to see how much it is. They also sell hoki, Brustail, venison and soon goat.

I'm not so interested in the Rayne. The Mauri is the one. They supposedly sell it about 45 miles from me. I'm going to call and ask tomorrow if they have it. I'll start the second can tomorrow and see if it's still a hit. I want to confirm the carb count as it does contain pumpkin and make sure it's a hit. You know how that goes. Good one time but not so much the next sometimes.

Way to listen to the aunties, Max. Now set it on surf and just hang there, 'k?

Good luck with the unending food quest, Elise. I have a cabinet full of cat food and I stand in front of it like a teenage girl in front of a packed closet and wonder why I can't find something to fee them!
