Grrr... so angry at myself. I've been trying my hand a shooting on her side instead of between her shoulders and tonight I think the needle when right through that small amount of skin and completely did a fur shot. Insulin all over my hand and her fur. Her numbers were sooooo good and I just had to get all "expert" on her and messed it all up. Grrr...

Plus, fiance met me after work to do some quick shopping. When we got home, we couldn't find kitty! Turns out, she was outside on the back patio... by herself. Not sure how she got there, but it's kinda dangerous for her to be there alone. So many stray cats in the city, plus you never know what some kids would do if they found a little kitty all alone. She looked so scared when we found her. We're not quite sure, but we think the landlords contractors might have stopped by and didn't pay attention to her and locked her out. We don't have proof, so can't say anything... but I'm pretty sure that is why her PMPS was so high.

So I have a stressed kitty, with high BG numbers, whos momma did a fur shot. OYE!

Hope everyone else is having better luck than me today :(

Get it all over in one shot and back on track the next one!
I remember one day we came home after shopping to find Peanut sitting on the chair on the patio staring at us through the open kitchen window like she was just out there to point out to us what we'd done wrong. Dang near gave us both a heart attack.

I can imagine! I'm always worrying in the back of my mind that maybe I should have stayed home, just in case her BG goes low. So when I couldn't find her, I was so scared we were gonna find her unconscious or seizing. Luckily (?) she was just wide eyed on the patio.

I hate fur shots! She will get back on track before you know it :)

Sometimes Skooter likes to be a lil &*($W% and hide from me. I am almost positive I have found his hiding spot, but not 100% sure. I can go all over the house twice and then he comes meandering in from wherever his magical place is.....drives me nuts...especially when I come home from work....I am the same way, always holding my breath a little until I see him

HAHA! OMG, I'm still trying to find that magical hiding place! We only have a one bedroom apartment. There aren't that many places to hide! Often I just give in and shake the treat bag just in time to see her sneak up behind me. No clue where she was. Glad it's not just me who's heart skips a beat a little when it happens :)

Sorry about the fur shot, but she'll get back on track quickly. We all do them. I'm glad she was okay when she got locked out. How scary. I hate it when they hide and just when I start to panic they show up. I think they sit and watch us look for them from their hiding spots.

Yes....between Skooter's IBD and his diabetes there really aren't treats I can give him....so I walk around meowing and saying his name. I swear to God he is sitting in his magic space laughing his butt off at me.....
