Yesterday, Neko started FIFA Women's World Cup team training.

5/28 Recap:
AMPS 136 +9 130
PMPS 182 +9 200

I was pretty disappointed at last night's +9. I never like getting up at zero dark 30 and seeing yellow, even if I was up for rowing anyway. Fortunately she redeemed herself before shot time. As usual when we got home after rowing, Neko barged out the front door. We always after to be careful because civie Theo is on her tail and he's not allowed out. Neko only lasted out two minutes before she remembered it was breakfast time. :) Speaking of which - buffalo is a hit here. It's not going to stay on the roster, it's one of the most expensive meats, but maybe as an odd treat.

Another sunny day - guess where the kitties are. :cat:

OT: DH and I practiced races in a double together today. We are still talking to each other. :p Coach (who selects boats) has a sense of humour.

Glad you and DH are still talking.......that would have been fun doing that together.
Why can't Theo go outside?
My other cat Maxie GA, used to wait his opportunity to get out, and when he saw his chance, he would bolt through the door, often from several metres away. I had to put a bell on his collar so I could hear him as he would hide. I miss him and his funny antics

Neko is steady as she goes blues again. Late this afternoon, she was actively playing with one of the balls that Mariko gave her.:joyful::joyful::joyful: I don't often get to see my 14 year old arthritic acro-girl tossing a balling in the air and chasing it around the room, plus playing goalie with me. :):) That made my day.

Starting tonight, Neko gets two back to back 18 hour shots. She'll get a test and breffs at PM+9, then I'll load up Otto and head out the door, not to be back to probably +16. Meantime, the beans are rowing up Indian Arm to Granite Falls. The distance is somewhere between 36 and 42 km return, depending who you listen too. Normal Saturday AM row is 15 km. We'll have some rowers in the coach boat and swap around as people need breaks. I've only been up there in a power boat. We will get 1/2 hour break on the beach. I am sure I'll be beat! Afterwards I have a meeting to go to.

Bron, Carla, Anne, Rhiannon - DH and I have been in a boat together lots this year, but only the bigger boats with others. This was the first time just the two of us in a sprint (1 km). Last year we raced a 5.2 km race in a double. When we were new we rowed together a lot in a double, and argued a lot. :p @Bron and Sheba - civie Theo is a semi feral. The couple of times he's gotten outside the feral side came out and it was very difficult to get him back in again. Always at night of course - he's mostly black. Indoors he's a lover.

I think you're nuts, I'd rather be lazing in the solarium kitty style but as long as you enjoy it! Hope you do have a fabulous time - and that you and DH are still still talking afterwards lol

Great report on Neko's ball skills, she's getting some sneaky practice in for the soccer team. Hope you and DH have a fabulous trip, boy that sounds exhausting but fun.
