Frankie used to go through every colour too. Just recently the blacks are getting less, touch wood. I tend to wake up about 4am if I've slept through an alarm, so my inbuilt clock is starting to work!! I can't work with the American versions of how they measure glucose, nor get to grips with the human meter readings, so it's good to find someone else like me!!
(Ant-jinx)...my Tuxie has been hitting the blacks less as well. It is just taking SO long for his body to adjust to staying with lower numbers, but when I look back to my December and January readings (not published here) he was running all blacks and reds and once in a while he would throw in a high pink...just to make me think we were making progress. So all in all there is a slow improvement.
Having to set my mind to "thinking" in US mg/dl and human meter readings really throws me for a loop sometimes. I do have a FS Lite human meter (I got it free when I bought the FS Lite strips) but I am so used to thinking in pet meter terms that I stick with my AT2 meter. I actually use the FS Lite strips with my AT2 meter. They are made by the same company and I did a lot of comparisons using AT2/AT strips VS AT2/FS Lite strips and the reading are very very close. So the FS Lite strips are about 1/2 the price of AT2 strips. I still have a few AT strips left and especially on lower numbers I will do a 3 way comparison. AT2/FS Lite strip (pet numbers)...AT2/AT2 strip (pet numbers)...FS Lite/FS Lite strip (human numbers). I have far too much curiosity and need for data.
