Im thinking that number is correct. Maybe he isnt that hungry because he is lower. hmmm...I know mine eats less when she is lower. paws crossed..surf the green Max!:D

I am also very frustrated when Gus is not eating. I finally decided that he gets to choose only two foods Tiki Cat Ahi Tuna, baby food and occasionally pumpkin pure . So I gradually made the switch and he is eating OK but his poop is black. I don't know if it is a problem or just adjustment to new food. His BG also started to go little higher so we had to increase his insulin.

Good luck and Max eat it is so yummy.

Awesome AMPS this morning! Hopefully our boys will eat for us and not stress us out too much today.

Actually I wasn't concerned that he didn't want to ff yet. I was thinking if he really started green he would be hungrier so just another observation that may or may not be right. He did eat the ff without any FD on top. Then I opened the Mauri kangaroo sent to me by the company to try. He ate it! It's low carb and low phosphorus but super expensive and not yet available many places. Time to test so I can decide whether to cancel my bike and work out later.

Food spike but I'm lazy so will spin at 12 or 5. Wednesdays I have choices as three classes and all good instructors.

It will be interesting to see if he still likes the new food but I can't use it exclusively. It's hard to find and at least $3.50 for a 6 oz can. The site where I found it gas it listed about of stock on top of it. It's mostly sold back east. They sent me a 3 oz and 6 oz of kangaroo and 3 oz cans of goat, venison, wild brush tail, and Hokies which is a fish. The goat is for dogs but the only difference is less taurine and the addition of cranberries. I should price the dog versions to see how much cheaper they are.
 
Who knew there was such a variety out there? I hope @Deanna & Billie sees this, as she's always looking for novel proteins for Billie.

Elise, I know how this troubles you, but you just can't let yourself get so hung up on the accuracy of the numbers compared to other meters. The best thing to do is stick to one meter and compare it to itself. You know Max well enough to know when something's off. Remember what Dr. Nelson told me about not being so obsessed with the numbers that we don't see the whole cat!

I'm over the meter thing. It's weird to get numbers like the 179 last night and the a 78 this morning. I didn't recheck either but I bet one of them was off.
