My sister has terminal cancer. She, her dog and 2 cats moved from Pennsylvania to Ft Worth, TX on May 8, 2015 so she would be near her children and grandson. The landlord of the apartments here daughter live with n doesn't allow cats but he made an exception considering the circumstances. He did say, however, that when my sister passes away the cats will need to go. She's in hospice now and it's down to a few days or a week.

They have had a lot of stress in the past two weeks. The flight from PA to TX, in a strange apartment without their mom or their canine companion. For this reason I believe it's in their best interest for them to stay together
Both cats are tortoise shell in color and are 9 years old and in good health. They are named Tabby and Kallie and are friendly and playful. Both have microchips. They lived with a 40 pound dog. If you can provide BOTH of these wonderful kitties a forever home please send me a message.

I am so sorry to hear about your sister.
The two kitties are absolutely gorgeous. I do hope you can rehome them. I live in Australia otherwise I would love them.
All the best in finding homes

Mogmom and Goofus: Thank you. I understand. We have 3 cats. One, PurrFace, is diabetic and still with us thanks to this forum. My wife and I are in our late sixties and find three kitties a handful to care for.

BJM: Thank you for the suggestion. I'm one of those Oldgeezers that don't Facebook but I'm sure my granddaughter will post it for us.

Bron and Sheba: Thank you. I hope we can also. If we can't either my younger sister in Pennsylvania will get a bigger apartment and give them a home or my wife and I will. We won't let them end up in a shelter.

Thank you all.

What beautiful kitties, I'm sure they'll find a good home.

I'm so sorry about your sister. May she be comfortable until she passes, and may she pass gently from this world.:bighug::bighug:

While I can't help with your rehoming project, I wanted so say I have sent some extra prayers to St. Francis (patron saint of animals) to assist. I also added some to St. Peregrine, the patron saint of cancer patients, to help your sister on her journey. :bighug:

Thank you Doombuggy. I really appreciate that. It's folks like you and all of the others that make the FDMB so special. God bless you.

If I did not have 7 cats already and just rescued 3 tiny kittens, I would love to have them. I will keep your sister and your families in my prayers. Hopefully you will be able to find a good home for them. They are beautiful.

Oh they are lovely. I don't live anywhere near your vicinity (or in your country, for that matter) and even if I did, my building only allows two cats (and my Bailey only allows one - her!). However, I wanted to pass along my sympathy and my hopes for a successful re-homing.

Unfortunately I don't have much time left to find these kitties a forever home. If you or someone you know are interested please contact me. I might be able to deliver them to you if you aren't near Ft Worth. Contact me via the forum or at johnpburkey@gmail.com.

I'm so glad you'll give them a home if you can't find one, shelters are good as it beats starvation and sleeping under a car, but nothing beats a loving home!

Mogmom and Goofus these two kitties would do great in Minnesota. I'll find a way to get them to you and they already have fur coats so the winter won't bother them.

Thank you all for your concern about my sister and her 2 fur buddies. My sister lost her 2+ year fight with cancer Friday evening. We couldn't find a new forever home for the 2 kitties so my younger sister is going to take Tabby & Kallie back to Pennsylvania with her. She'll move to bigger apartment and give them a home.

Thank you all again.

Very sorry to read your news. I think it is admirable that you took the time to come here and update us and if the kitties' new guardian is willing to move for them, they are definitely in the right place. My deepest condolences.

Deepest condolences one the passing of your sister. Your younger sister is wonderful to take the two cats and move into a bigger apartment. They are two lucky kitties.
