Hello!

Yesterday: http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/5-18-billie-amps-289.138047/

Billie is doing well today!! Her appy has actually been really good (*antijinx*) even without the ondansetron. I tried some new food - Wild Calling salmon, and it was a big hit. I'll have to stock up on more tomorrow. I also cracked open some Wild Calling turkey and she wasn't as enthusiastic but she ate some of that as well. The salmon actually smells pretty good! I told DBF that and he made fun of me. He likes to joke that I buy so much cat food because I'm actually eating it too. He has plenty of reason to joke, because the other day, he found a can of Weruva in my bed  It was a stray can that got left in the car and I put it in my purse to bring it inside. I must have thrown my purse on the bed, and it fell out there... :cat:

@Tricia & Cinco and @tiffmaxee, thank you for the info on gel caps! I am ordering some #4 and the pill shooter. Billie does seem to be doing well without the ondansetron now, but I want to have the option. And, I really do want to try the SEB and don't know of any other way to get her to eat it. She did really well with the fish oil again today though. I just put it on a little plate for her, and she licked it up. I'm going with the dosage recommendation on the bottle - between 0.5 and 0.75 ml based on her weight. I wonder if the fish oil is making her stomach feel better and has something to do with the improved appy or if it's coincidence. It could also be the metronidazole helping.

We seem to be going back up the dosing scale with her Lantus and not breaking through yet. I think she got too used to yellow. I was holding off on increases for a little while based on her appy, and there was quite a bit of yellow. But now I'm feeling comfortable increasing again.

Friday is our big moving day!!! Today was nonstop packing. The cats seem to be having fun - all these shelves that used to have stuff on them are empty, and they have more things to climb on. Of course, there's already a territory dispute over one particular closet shelf, even though there are two other shelves just like it.

I hope everyone is doing well - sending vines to all the kitties and beans needing vines.

You must be so excited to be almost ready for the move. I bet she hasn't fully recovered from the pancreatitis and that's the reason for her needing more insulin right now and the up and down appy. This too shall pass. Have a great night.

glad to hear Billie's doing great today! Yay! Metronidazole also has anti-inflammatory properties so maybe that's part of what's helping her.

too funny about the cat food in your bed - funny how things migrate around a house.

Good luck with the move - i hope it goes smoothly and the critters adjust well.

Thanks Elise and Julie! Looks like Billie read her condo! Her first green in over a week, and naturally, she went for a dive. I hope this means the inflammation is subsiding. I think I'll ask about keeping her on metronidazole longer. The vet wanted to try it for a week and discontinue if it wasn't helping, but sounded like he would want to keep her on it longer if it is helping.

It's great to see Billie reached green. I do hope the inflammation is subsiding.

Sending continued healing vines to Billie.

Hope you have a great night.

Hooray for green!! :D Oh, the magic of the dosecrease threat!

I'm glad to hear Billie is feeling better. I'm sure you're right and the vet will keep her on the metronidazole if it seems to be making a difference.

Sending more appy and healing vines!
