Hi everyone
Could you have a look at Tabby's s/s. He has been in all reds and pinks since increasing to 2.25, have held it for 6 cycles, is the right thing to do increase it 2.5 now?

Hi, Louise.

Yes, you want to increase. In fact, given the high numbers, I'd suggest you post after 4 cycles/2 days and ask about increasing. It may be to Tabby's benefit if we "fast-track" the dosing until we see him in numbers below 300.

Are you testing for ketones? If not, it would be a good idea just to make sure if anything is brewing, you catch it early.

Am not testing for ketones. Tabby pees outside, I have bought strips but have so far been unsuccessful in getting a sufficient sample to test. I have looked at buying monitor that tests for glucose as well as ketones but all the ones I have found are really expensive and I am already struggling with the price of the insulin etc. I will keep trying.

NovaMax was running a promotion for a free blood ketone meter. It tests both ketones and BG. The ketone strips are expensive but it will give you the data you want.
