Good morning LL!

Green start for Eddie Spaghetti this morning. :D

Thanks for all your visits yesterday, everyone. This is sort of surreal and maybe even more nerve wracking than any other part of this dance?? I cheated the first two days on extra pokies, but I'm trying not to poke more than necessary during the trial. LOL. Over the last couple months, since Eddie was so even keeled, I did start to wean off testing a bit, so hopefully I won't have to go through a stint in testaholics anonymous. ;)

@Sienne and Gabby Thanks for stopping by on Eddie's yesterday condo. We were doing +9 snacks in the AM and PM diligently for the past several months, then started to slack with the mad-dash to get to closing. The auto-feeders are moved, now I've just got to figure out which box they're packed in and get them set up for snack time. :) It does definitely seem like food is stimulating his pancreas if the last couple days are any indication, so hopefully getting that tiny +9 snack back in will bring down the pre-shot numbers just a little bit.

I can definitely relate. I'm feeling and doing the exact same thing right now with Zeke! I'm trying to be as nonchalant about the "situation" as possible (I don't even want to say OTJ trial for fear of jinxing it) but inside I'm like "Oh, please, please, please, please!!!!"

Eddie is looking FANTASTIC. I'll have to show Zeke Eddie's ss - maybe that will get his competitive spirit going.

Keep it going you two. Only 10 more days to go.

I can totally relate to that. Even after only 3 months of doing pokies with Rosa, I found it really difficult not to "just check" at extra times during the day. And now she's down to once a week testing, I have to keep stopping myself grabbing extra mid-week tests too. It does feel surreal when your day doesn't have to fit around test times any more - and definitely nerve wracking...I still have a slightly panicky moment every time I wait for the meter to count down and give me a number (followed by not really wanting to look at the number even though I want to know what it is). ;)

And YAY for a green number this morning! :D Happy Day 4!! :D :D :D

@rjwesq823 a condo is the daily post we make in the LL sub forum for our cats where we put all their numbers for the day. :)
 
PMBG = 79 :D:D:D

DH was home from work early today, so Eddie got his +9 snack despite me not getting the feeders up yet. Looks like that snack pulled down his PMBG!

PS - GO ZEKE GO! How cool that both Eddie and Zeke that have been on insulin for over a year are within a day of each other on their trials. Co-conspirators??;)
 
I stopped testing Rosa before her breakfast - she has food available all the time, but is a bit lazy about getting off the bed to eat until I'm up in the mornings. Before breakfast, she'd pretty much always be in the low blue, but 2 or 3 hours after breakfast she'd give me a green number. It seems that maybe Eddie's the same and actually needs the food to pull his numbers down just that little bit further. In the end I just started testing a bit later - saves the stress of seeing numbers a little too close to the limit for comfort!
 
This is so very exciting!!!! Keep up the low numbers Eddie!!!

Iz cited for da pawty....I know da beanz like to celebrate now more insulin, but Iz cited (and a lil jealous) of lots less of dem pokies and shots youz gonna have! My suit iz ready to go! ~Skooter
