I'm thinking maybe Jack's lower #'s today may be due to this being his off day for the Prednisilone. On top of that, I overslept today and he got his shot late. Do you think I should skip tonight's shot and get back on schedule with work tomorrow? If he DOES in fact go to his lowest at night as suggested, don"t really want him going so much lower. I think I will skip the dose. Or maybe should give reduced dose?

since you are pretty new, I'd say skip or give a lesser shot so you don't drain the shed so much.

I'm doing the off and on pred too... and it helps others if you put it on your ss....
I'm definitely seeing a difference now on pred days vs no pred days.
I'm actually using the pred now early in the morning.... and it's giving me better control of her cycles.... ( so far that is)
but my girl hasn't been a drama queen at all since we started.

Thank you. You're so lucky not to have the drama.

I started putting the Pred on the spreadsheet a few days ago and it made me more aware of the likelyhood today that it could be the reason for the lower #'s. Does it not show up when you look at the SS? I put at the end of my PM's because that would be the end of our cycle, early the following morning. Maybe you have a better suggestion for how I should input it?

I see it now... and probably that weird orange color is good...... it doesn't conflict with the regular colors for the numbers and stands out...
use it everytime you dose....
maybe change the one on 5/8.... put it in a blank box like the +1... so it stands alone....

i do that myself....
test feed shoot.... she's eating.... and i wait until she's eaten before dosing.... but it all happens in that first hour....

Here is your last post. We like to link in the last post so people can go back and review what was said previously. A while ago you were debating using the TR protocol or SLGS. Did you decide which you want to use for dosing? If so, could you put that in your signature so we don't have to keep asking. If you are using SLGS, Jackie earned a reduction today with that 71 and that means going down to .75 units. If you are following TR, you'd stick to 1.0 unit.

Looks like Jackie is doing a Lantus double dip this cycle. You'll often see a second smaller dip at the end of a Lantus cycle, where the cat goes down again, but not as low as the first dip.

Okay, how do you do that? I am leaning towards the SLGS. I'll go ahead and add that in and if I decide to change that, I will change in my signature as well. Thank you. First, I'll go ahead and get his AM pills in him and get a reading or 2.

Copy the urologist from the previous day. Then start your new condo. Clip on the paper clip and paste what you copied. You're done.

Hee hee, @tiffmaxee. Don't you just love autocorrect (NOT!)? :joyful:

Sarah, If you want to give the previous day's condo a title (some of us say "Yesterday's Condo" and others are more creative - "Cinco's Big Dive"), type the name you want to give it at the beginning of your new condo (or wherever you want to put the link), highlight it, then click in the chain link or paperclip symbol in the bar above and paste the URL in the box. Click Insert, and the name you typed becomes a hyperlink.

Jackie's looking good. I think skipping the shot was a good idea. Once you have the hang of all this and are familiar with Jackie's trends, you'll be able to decide whether to skip, shoot early, shoot a reduced dose, etc. When in doubt, kitty's safety is the priority, so skipping it is!
