I've been very busy in the last days, so I haven't been able to write in the board. Cleo's numbers have been very strange. I was thinking she needed a dose increase, but today she gave me a flat green sequence

Someone of you experts could please look at Cleo's spreadsheet to explain me what's going on? Thanks!!!

In 45 minutes is PM shot time. I think I will stall a little if she is so low.

PMPS is 66, should I shoot or wait? I have enough strips, but not too much (20-25) because I'm waiting the delivering. I'd shoot, what do you think about?

Delia, I'm not expert. But, she is coming up. That's comforting. And, she will probably bounce from this lovely string of greens.

Several options:

1. skip. Personally, I wouldn't. She is coming up. A bounce is likely.
2. reduce the dose. drain the depot a bit. Again, depends on your level of comfort shooting a low numbers. Remember, she has a tendency to bounce, though.
3. shoot her dose. As long as you're prepared to monitor and have the supplies needed (hc, syrup, strips...)

Others with more knowledge may be around.

I think the fact that she's coming up at shot time let's you know she's on her way to higher numbers. I hope. I'd still get a +1, +2 just for confirmation, though.

Looks like you shot a 62 before on 4/24. As long as you have plenty of supplies and can monitor closely I say shoot! Of corse get a +1 and +2.

I need expert people's opinion about Cleo's numbers because last couple of days' numbers are very difficult to understand to me. She bounced and she surfed. Look at 5/1 am numbers. She went up to 179 at +8, then down again and then bounce.
And today? She stayed in 50 without any carbs.
What do you think about? Will she ever stop to bounce? Is this dose right? Why does she go from pink to green in a cycle?

I got confused about time I thought I was getting +1 and +2 test, instead I realized that I've taken a +2 and +3
BTW, Cleo is not bouncing What does it mean? I think tonight I won't sleep

That's okay. You don't want her to bounce. You want her in normal numbers which are 50-120. If she goes under 50 she gets another reduction. I would get a +4..

You are doing everything right Delia! Her bounces are getting shorter, much shorter. Lantus kitties will also sometimes do what is called a double dip, where they do a small curve down at the end of the cycle, though not as low as the nadir of the main cycle. Most of the day on 5/1 she was essentially surfing, or staying within the 20% variance allowed by meter readings. Today she also did a great surf. I'd stay with this dose, though I suspect she'll be asking for another reduction soon. With all that time in green, she's getting some great pancreas healing time.

These bounces are nothing! Many of us have bouncy kitties. Max did for over a year. I thought it would never stop. I never saw all the green that you are getting. I think Cleo is responding really well to Lantus.
