Yesterday's Condo

I am happy to report that Sammy's numbers did drop below 100 last night, and it appears that he surfed there for most of the night. His AMPS this morning is still a bit higher than yesterday, but I am hopeful that he will still come down under 100 again today. We will wait an see what happens.

If he's still over 100 all day tomorrow I'd be tempted to increase on Sunday . . . I just wouldn't increase based upon one day of slightly higher tests.

I know I shouldn't increase based on one day of slightly higher tests, but it is so frustrating when I just see those numbers creeping up. I am going to try to keep myself occupied today so I don't worry so much about his numbers. Hopefully he will drop back under 100 and possibly under 90 today.

@julie & punkin (ga) So glad you talked me off the ledge last night and encouraged me to hold the dose longer. Sammy seems to be back on track today, and I am so much happier. I am guessing that the 66 will be his nadir today, but I will test again at +6 to see where he is.

possibly under 90 today.

all it takes is talking about a dose increase, lol, to bring down the numbers. Looks like Sammy aimed to please today!

One thing to remember is that even with every other factor held constant, the absorption of insulin can vary by as much as 50% from one shot to the next. That's one more reason not to just go by one day's numbers.

Enjoy your day!

That is something that I definitely keep forgetting. I need to remember that Lantus is a hormone and doesn't always work exactly the same every time.

My friend Kim would say that if that's all you bought, you're an amateur. Maybe we should work on improving our stash building skills, since she calls me that all the time.

LOL! I think it depends on the amount of money spent. LOL! Most non-knitters would be appalled at how much I spent on yarn to knit my own sweater. LOL! Most people wouldn't spend as much as I spent on a sweater already knit. LOL!

I'm not that good at knitting, but I do have a whole dresser full of cross stitch kits that I haven't done anything with yet, as well as a lot of completed stuff. It seems to be the one thing I can't resist buying if it's been a bad week - I'm not all that interested in fashion or shoes as I'm strictly a jeans, t-shirt and trainers sort of person so those sort of things don't have the same appeal as a whole new bundle of yarn and fresh canvas to work on! ;) I reckon whatever helps you stay sane in an insane world has to be worth the cost!

I bought a lot of yarn in the last few days. At least 3 sweaters worth.

couldn't resist this one Tina..... great numbers for Sammy
