We went to the vet yesterday and he put Milo on Onsior and Clavamox. He hasn't come out of the 300s all day, could these meds cause higher numbers. Onsior is day 2 of 3 for pain today. Clavamox us for tooth infection. He has 2 tablets daily 12 hours apart. So far he has had 2 pills. We have our dental on Tuesday.

I did do a dosecrease to 5.5U this AM.

I've not seen those meds cause problems, but maybe there is an infection brewing that the Clavamox will help with and the numbers will come back down.

Thanks. The tooth is infected, he is on the Clavamox because of it. Vet is sure tooth will have to be extracted but will know more after xray at dental time.

I am not sure if they would case the numbers to go up. But you probably want to keep an eye on him as the Clavamox starts to work because if it starts clear the infection the numbers might come down quickly.

Since you are giving the meds in pill form, they are likely OK. I have seen some people give Clavamox in a liquid form that has a syrup. I was was sent home with some from the vet that was orange flavor. What cat likes oranges!?

Milo is probably seeing a bit of NDW or new dose wonkiness today, since you just increased. It's "save a strip" day.
