Hi Everyone,
Another late start owing to paperwork, etc. Rusty had a good night, ate all his food, and this morning has put a big dent into his breakfast. The 4 inches of snow we got yesterday is beginning to melt. Maybe we will have spring soon??

I began using the new Arkray Glucocard 01 Sensor Plus strips in my Arkray Glucocard 01 Mini meter yesterday and was very happy to find that the bg readings are very close to the readings of the old strips. So we don't have to worry about that! I find the new strips much easier to use: they draw up the blood drop much better than the old ones. I did not "clean and disinfect" the meter! I decided to ignore this decree by the manufacturer since I believe it is included in the instructions to comply with a new health ruling about blood-bourne diseases (i.e., Ebola, Hepatitis C, etc.).

Nice start for Rusty. Maybe a visit to the lagoon later on? I've used the new strips too and not had any problems. The readings were very close to the old strips. I like the new ones better. They seem to suck up the blood better and need less blood.
 
Looking good Rusty. I agree, Ella. The new Arkray Glucocard 01 Sensor Plus strips are much easier to use. Narrow blood suck section makes it so much easier to get a good draw from a little drop. I can even test Miss Polly w/o my glasses!

I didn't realize how many condos I had missed lately. I'm glad that you got your leg checked out and nothing serious is wrong. Yeah, getting old sucks! I still have a real hard time thinking of myself as a "senior citizen"!

Your chair isn't even on the lake yet and our hills are brown already! Weird weather!

Hi again, Everyone,

Rusty had a subdued afternoon. The weather is damp and chill. He went out on the back stoop briefly, just to survey the scene (no rodents in sight). The rest of the time he slept.

I got a lot of cleaning out of my desk done today (it was so bad that I couldn't find anything). Edward had a yoga class. I practiced "Parting the Wild Horse's Mane" and "White Crane Stretches Wings" in my Tai Chi lesson (looks simple, but I find it difficult. I think it's because I have trouble with right and left and coordinating the arm motions with the footwork!!). My leg felt much better today, but I have a ways to go.

Nice lagoon action today by Rusty. I hope he gets some spring weather and frisky rodents out there soon!

I've been wondering if I should order an Arkray meter to go with my Relion meters and the new Arkray strips for my next order. Fortunately I can procrastinate for a couple of months yet.
