Good Morning, Everyone,
Sunshine this morning!! No new snow!!. Rusty had a good night, ate most of his nighttime food, and at present is grazing on his breakfast. We are into day 2 of the Billie Holiday festival. So great! We can listen to Lady Day all day again.

We're off to the post office. The landfill will be the big event of the afternoon. This evening our "film group" is going coming here to see the last Werner Herzog film we have scheduled, "Grizzly Man". I'm not so sure I want to see this (a crazy guy befriends a grizzly, who eventually eats him), but I can close my eyes for that scene. I hope Rusty won't be scared.

Sending vines to all in need and wishing all a fine day,

Ella & Rusty

That would be like Rusty befriending a mouse! Seems like an unlikely plot to me. :joyful: Lovely day in the lagoon for your guy, blizzard or no. I guess the chair isn't on the lake yet?

Still hasn't been put out on the lake! It's getting late, but the ice is still very thick.

Rusty had a good evening being the host (sat on the laps of two of our friends), eating all his dinner, and not being afraid of the bears in the movie. The film was good and there were no shots of the guy being eaten by a bear. But he treated those bears like his children for 13 summers, and that surely was not good for wild animals (or for him). He wanted to keep the bears safe from humans. He was a well-meaning madman. Alaskan scenery was spectacular.

We have about 5 inches of heavy, wet snow, and snow or other wintry mix is expected all night. Billie Holiday Birthday broadcast was magnificent. And all of the jazz shows for the rest of the week on the station are going to be devoted to Billie Holiday.

Wishing all a good evening,

Ella & Rusty
